Took my 1st exam today. I got 47/50, which is about 94%! We had to take our 1st math calculations test during orientation lol. I was like a test during orientation? LOL! I got 74% I think. You had to get >90% to pass. We have 3 chances to pass the 1st math calculations test or you're going to see the dean. I took my 2nd test and got 95%. Our 1st exam covered 18 chapters. 18 chapters!! From here on out, the study guide has no more than 2 or at the most 3 chapters per competency. I was struggling. It was a lot to take in.
Hang in there guys! Class of 2015! We can do it!

Class of 2015 :) Our first exam is Thursday. I have been practicing NCLEX style questions up the wazoo. Tomorrow I wake up early to study at the library, attend lab in the afternoon, study a few more hours, go to work & study while I am there. I can not WAIT to have a break.
I go to PGCC in Maryland. I was so nervous and excited at my orientation lol. I was like finally!! Then it really sunk in. OMG! I'm gonna be a nurse! LOL!
Good Luck!!
Our instructor told us that it may be that way soon. She told us that most schools require you to get 100%. She said that you can only miss about 2 on the test, but in life that could be 2 people whose meds were messed up. That could also be 2 people that could become very sick or die as a result.
I took a serious deep breath after my exam lol. Our test was in NCLEX style. I had to jump right back in the books because our next exam is in 2 weeks. In nursing school time that's tomorrow lol. It seems like the days fly by so quick. It's just getting us closer to that day though :)
Good Luck on your exam!! Study! Study! Study!
I go to PGCC in Maryland.
I am in 4 year program at a Baltimore university but my parents are about 25 minutes away from PGCC in southern Maryland!! What a small world. Good luck to you!
