what sould i do? i need advices..:(

Hi,

I know how you feel. I'm so exhausted and I can't seem to manage all the emotional stuff. I know that part of what we're "learning" is to manage all this but it sure is trial by fire. I don't have any ideas, just compassion! If you've made it through this far, you'll probably do fine. You sound like you'll be a great nurse, but you have to decide if this is really what you want to do, not what everybody else thinks (same issues with me). And even if you do something different, you didn't waste any time, you found out THIS wasn't right (another mantra for myself!). Good luck to you and I'll be thinking about you.

Consider all the work & effort that you already have invested.

And realize that your efforts have resulted in good marks.

If it is stress & pressure that are causing the concern - then

find ways to deal with those.

Consider how close you are to completion of your program.

Hi,

I agree with GingerSue. Even if you are contemplating not working as a nurse I would definitely finish at this point. It has been my experience that the clinical settings in school were far more stressful than anything I have experienced so far as a nurse. All the scrutiny and knowing that they could kick you out at pretty much any time had me a nervous wreck. Hang in there and I would bet you will find an area of nursing that you enjoy and isn't too stressful for your particular style.

I'm new to the site and read your concerns. I have had those thoughts too. But, as someone said, you've come this far...and with the nursing shortage and ALL the possibilities that come after, you could be a nursing instructor some day. I think you would be more bummed if you didn't finish. Don't do this for everyone else, do it for you. Everyone that you WILL take care of in the future is going to benefit from your hardships. Don't give up. If you need inspiration, check out Randy Pausch on youtube it's his Last Lecture. He talked about brick walls-they seperate those who just dream and imagine to those who want to and have the courage to achieve. You can do it...just take a deep breath.
