Need help doing a psych eval on "On Golden Pond" movie.
Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen that movie, but could you use something like self care decline, or something with his ADL's? I took care of dementia patients years ago in a nursing home, I can remember there was ineffective coping, malnutrition issues as well the obvious cognitive deficiencies. I hope this helps.

considering nursing school at 45 yo
I haven't been on the site for awhile...been busy studying and all that! :nuke: If it helps, I will be graduating this May and I'm 43 years old. It is harder to be an older student but I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world. Good luck to you.

I hate nursing
I just read your thread. I'm sorry that you hate nursing and all things nursing. But since you have gained all this knowledge maybe there is another avenue you can take. Maybe you can teach or work in the pharmaceutical industry or work for an organization like American Cancer Society, National Juvenile Diabetes Assoc. or Red Cross. I hope you don't give up on your nursing "career". There is so much out there that you can do with this kind of degree. Good luck to you.

No She/he Did Not!!!
Answer this fill in the blank test question as follows: Acute kidney infection is.......? My classic Tommy Boy answer: Bad??? Total brain fart that day. The instructor loved it.

No She/he Did Not!!!
OMG that's too funny...I'm a breast ca survivor and if someone would have said that to me I wouldn't be able to resist a goofy comeback. I love stuff like that, humor makes it easier!!! Funny story: I've had a bilat masectomy...my sister and I were talking about something that would be really cool (can't quite remember what it was) and she was like "Man I'd give anything for that..." I reply "Wow, I'd give my right breast for....oh wait, I already did that" I'm weird that way. Good luck and keep you sense of humor!!!! Shirley

Please give INPUT!!!!
YIKES!!!!! That would freak me out too. Does your school have special accomodations? At our school if you let the instructor know you have certain way to test (ie: severe test anxiety), they will let you go to a room in the tutoring center where it's quiet. You have the exact same amount of time to take the test as the class does. Seems to work for those who need it. Maybe that will help?

Our government made it so I can't take out private student loans....
I'm not sure if this will help...I've had to take out private loans as well....try myastrive.com. If that's not it, it will guide you to the right site. They seem willing to help. Good luck

waiting patiently
Hello All- I'm a 42 year old nursing student. I recently beat breast cancer and lost my best friend to throat cancer. I'm getting ready to FINALLY finish my last year in nursing school, and my oncology doctor has offered me a job!!! I have known for a couple years this is the field I want to go into. My problem is how do I focus on the "basics" when I know where I'm going? I want to do really well this year but the anticipation is killing me!! Any ideas on how to re-focus and get through this?! Thanks!!!
