Hello,

I just got in FCCJ and I am going to start prereq's for RN. I see that many courses, such as english math, chemistry, are offered online. Is it wise to take fccj online courses or will this hurt my points or ability to transfer to BSN in future? and just how demanding are online courses? Has anyone does this and got into the program? I work full time in the day so I'm just looking at my options.

I am a student at FCCJ and I am on my 14th online class. I am getting my A.A. degree and also getting the prereq's for the nurisng program. I am taking as many of them online as possible. Its great, you just have to be completely self motivated. I love the flexibility that I have with online classes. As far as hurting you in the future, it will not hurt you because on your transcript it reads just as though you were in a regular class. It does not show that you took them online. So its just what works for your schedule and learning style whether you should go on campus or online! Good Luck!

All of my classes that I have taken have been online so far. I've taken 7 online classes and got A's in all of them. Summer 2008 will be my first in-class courses, so I'm pretty excited about that.

Online courses are great, but you have to be self-disciplined and motivated. I took Chemistry online and it really taught me time management.
