I applied at fccj it's been 6 weeks, 3 days & 2 nights, and haven't gotten results yet and sigh! Still waiting.. And getting more and more frustrated lol! I think I need to go to stress management class lol! Anyone who applied?
lpnhopefully, what are you thinking. I'm guessing you're not thinking. What did you expect them to tell you and all of the dishonest liars who commit fraud. You are a disgrace to the humana race to think that what you did is okay. It's not okay. Why would you do that?? You need to be seen by a doctor or a true nurse and I would not want to be your patient. Do you know how many honest people have applied for this program and did not get in b/c of their residential status and they told the truth. If you would have been honest about your residency, there might have been a slight chance of you getting in. Didn't I tell you not to send me anything from whitepages. I deleted it, Idon't know you.
I was just letting everyone know my experience, that's all. I didn't and was not trying to offend anyone. I apologize. I'm just being honest. I did not think that anything was wrong with what I did as I will be an official Duval county resident in 2 weeks and prior to the program start date. I'm truly not a dishonest person, I'm a good person. I will just have to reapply next term. I don't think it's fair that they only accept Duval county residents first. There were over 222 that applied. At that rate you'll never get in if you're not a resident.
Word of Advice: Don't use anyone else's address. I just got a call from the dept telling me that I've been disqualified from applying period. I can't even apply again. WTH!!!!! The lady that just called me told me that the letter told me everything I needed to know and to not call them about this crap again. The lady told me that they're going back and checking records for verification of addresses, and that if they find anymore people that did this they will be getting a denial letter also.
FYI - To anyone who gets denial letters after they receive a packet. Common sense should take over..if you got a packet on one day, then a denial letter the next day or afterwards..and it clearly states the reason(s) why. Don't call the office about it..duhhhhh nooooooooo meansssssssss noooooooooo!!!!!!!
It's also getting annoying that people keep saying that it isn't fair that only duval/ nassau residents are getting accepted. What do u expect? FSCJ is a jacksonville school. Its entirely fair that priority is given to jacksonville students. Just like how SJRCC gives priority to Clay and St Johns county student, b/c thats where they are based at. You don't see me going to Daytona State college and trying to take a spot from a Daytona resident, or going to TCC and trying to take a spot from a Tallahassee student, or going to Santa Fe College and trying to take a spot from a Gainsville resident. So why should clay county student get to take spots away from jax students? Everyone is so hung up on this, but I think it's totally appropriate. Just my opinion
LBello, I'm very intelligent. After carefully reading my letter it did not make sense that I got a packet and then a denial letter. Excuse me for not thoroughly reading it as I was very upset. It did state that I was disqualified due to residency and that due to my dishonesty, I could no longer reapply for the program. They did state to not call them as they could not speak to me about it, but I guess I was so upset that I didn't catch that and would not have called them at all as I know no means no. I tossed the packet, but it did feel good that I got in. I will have to reapply somewhere else.
No means, NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why did you call them then? If the letter told you "Don't call and that you're disqualified, even if they did not give you the reason. No means no, take it and learn from it. Go into something else or apply at another school. Like SJRCC since you were and are a clay county resident. If I know of anyone who lied and I can prove it, it's called public records people..I will call the dept myself and let them know, it was hard getting in and I was honest, so i DON'T THINK IT'S FAIR THAT LIARS get in.
I see that, I offended someone...(LBello) sorry. I lied and they caught up with it. I agree with some of what you're saying but I figured it was ok. Congrats on getting in. I would hope that you would not rat anyone outtt..karma is a mugggg. Just like I was found out, I'm sure they will find out about other people. I guess that's that, ladies if you got a packet and then a denial letter don't call the nursing dept. Take it and learn from it.
Darn right you offended someone, and you still are to say you got caught in a lie (which we already knew that) speaks for itself. You should have followed your own advice and learned from it. They were going to catch you anyway, b/c as you said Karma is a Mugggggg!!!!!. You lied and that's that. It caught up with you and what did you think would happen. You knew that you had lied and then had the audacity to comment on here about it. Like I said before and since you don't have common sense..when you got your denial letter, you should have taken that and learned from it. To tell you the truth, I don't think you've learned your lesson. I don't care what you had changed (D/L, Mailling address, etc) the truth is that you are not a duval county resident.
So I guess I should call them and let them know of all the other people who have lied and changed their addresses to get in after all anyone can get a duplicate license with an updated address on it. Is that what you're going to do (Rat on people), you don't know peoples situation at all to be doing that. Remember you might need a favor or something from someone.
I don't need to know people's situation..it is what it is. You're crazy to think that it's fair for anyone to get in and they lied about the main thing the program required honesty on. One thing about this is that you Reap what you sow." Your reaping came quick and harsh, so you should learn from it and take it as a lesson learned. Maybe some people have gotten over the system, they will get their just deserves..but we're talking about you. You lied on your application, did you ever think that they might have considered taking a non-duval county resident and that could have been you. Now you've lied on your application and record, they found out and you want sympathy.

Hi All,
I called and they would not change anything, I even told them the situation and they sais that they would not under any circumstances accept me and to disgard the packet. She did tell me to try back next time once I'm a Duval county resident, which I will be in 2 weeks. This really sucks. I even got my ID changed but she said since the issue date on my drivers license is after the date on my application that it would not be accepted until I apply again. I even have a notarized letter from my sister saying this will be my residence and that was not good enough. I asked them why did I get an acceptance letter and then a denial letter, she told me that they found out my residency was clay county. I asked how they found out and she said they could not disclose that information. I'm sorry for sending you all emails from whitepages, please disregard. The lady on the phone had an attitude and told me that my letter stated the reasons for my denial and I should not have even called them with that nonsense. So meannn, I asked to speak with the LPN instructor and she would not even talk with me.
