U.S.A. Florida

I know it is kind of early to start this thread but I thought maybe there were some others out there who are planning on applying for fccj/fscj fall 2010 RN program. Hope you will post on this thread!

I got an acceptance packet sometime last week. It recommended this site so here I am. Sorry you guys are still waiting. The letter they sent didn't have any info on the points cut off. Sorry I can't be of more help. I have spent the last week running around getting all kinds of things for the physical. (shots, bloodwork...) Trying to get all my paperwork together. Good luck to you all.

:idea: Make lemonade out of lemons! If you didn't get in this fall, don't give up. Start on your pre-req's for your bachelors degree, communications, foreign language, medical terminology, statistics etc. Keep going!

This is stressing me out! I just got an envelope from FSCJ today in the mail and all that was in it is the "New Student Nurse Orientation" schedule. I have not received any other mail from FSCJ. I'm so confused! I've read on here that some of you guys have received acceptance packets and denial letters. I have not received either forms. Someone also mentioned that yesterday was the deadline to accept seats??? I'm afraid that maybe my acceptance packet got lost in the mail... or FSCJ accidentally stuffed the envelope with the orientation schedule instead of the denial letter. Did anyone else only received the orientation schedule not knowing if you're in or not?

To leht2

I don't think you received that by accident. The orientations went out and I got mine. Your acceptance letter may be right behind it. If not. Go to the north campus and check to make sure. Im going to be hopeful for you and :yeah:say Cograts!!

Thank you, thank you, Future O.R. Nurse! I hope you are right! And congrats to you!

Call the nursing dept and accept your seat. Let them know you never received an acceptance letter, but you just got an orientation package.

Congrats!!

Thanks W. I called them and I'm in!!! :yeah:

This is when an "I told you so" is appropriate!! So guess what? I TOLD YOU!!! LOL Congratulations!!:yeah::yeah::clpty::clpty::clpty::dancgrp::dncgbby::wlcmhnds::spnngwlcm::spnngwlcm:

Future O.R. Nurse, I am sooo glad you were right!! lol

o.k. lets get right down to it. there is a page called fscj fall 2010 accepted. all the helpful tidbits you need hav been posted by others. join us.

Been reading the forum but new to writing on it. I just called her and she won't tell me what the cutoff is for points but I have 198 and have got nothing in the mail yet either..

198 is a high score - do not give up. I am in term II now and they sent ours out in waves. I was in the second round so I feel your pain! Hang in there - you really should be OK with 198! Good luck!

Haidee, I got into nights/weekends and live in St. John's county (so I'm considered out-of-county for FSCJ). I had 223 points. Chemistry is not counted toward your point total (only that you passed and therefore are allowed to take Microbiology), nor is your GPA counted toward your point total. Only the specified classes listed in the nursing information packet will count toward the overall point total used to get into the program. Hope that helps!

Congrats on your acceptance! I live in St. Johns county too but am in term II now - but if our class times are similar next semester mabey we can carpool. The 45 min drive really stinks! especially 1st term b/c you will be there 4 days/week! Congrats on getting accepted!
