Hello!
I am a family nurse practitioner working in the urgent care setting. I was wondering if anyone had a favorite NP journal that you subscribe to, to remain up-to-date on best practices.
Thank you ?

I read the NEJM. It's amazing and has lots of great articles. Not NP specific but great for learning!

NEJM Journal Watch emails weekly summaries of the latest evidence-based research, with summaries by leading practitioners in the specialties they cover. I subscribe to the pedi and gen-med newsletters. They aren’t free; the hospital I’m affiliated with pays for the subscriptions. With time limitations, I like that someone else has sifted through the dross for practice/policy updates that are important and relevant.

For primary care, American Family Physician - great article on how to diagnose and treat common primary care issues.

MEDSCAPE is free for those of you on a budget and its peer-reviewed. It has a nursing and medical section so check both out.
Tripp database l(freemium ) can be searched for guidelines, systematic reviews, and other EBM information. Not all guidelines are free but it will give you the links and summary.
Hope this helps.
