Welcome! This is for anyone who is applying to "FAU 2nd Degree Part-Time BSN Track for Working Professionals" for the Fall 2021. This program is an amazing opportunity for working adults. Has anyone applied? Know anyone that has applied? Any suggestions/tips?
Yes, I feel the same. I don’t want to get discouraged, or for anyone to feel discouraged, because in the long run, even if you have to apply a few times, the goal is to become an RN. I know of many medical students who had to apply to medical school for a few years. So the goal is not to give up.
Has anyone applied or considered any other schools?
That is the right attitude! They always tell you to never apply to one school and here I am... applied to one school so far and it isn't looking too good. I'm going to start looking at other programs for sure
From my understanding, the people on the ABSN waitlist met the necessary requirements for the ABSN program however didn't make the official cut(as in earned an official spot in the program due to # of applicants already officially accepted). In this case, this specific program is taking some of those students(to alleviate the ABSN waitlist) and putting them onto this one for an earned spot.

@nursing295 do you know if the people from the ABSN waitlist are automatically accepted, or are they considered for this program?
@nursedrea2k21 since we are so close to the April 9th deadline, it actually makes more sense that they look at the application pool as a whole, and then pick from there.
