FAU Accelerated BSN Spring 2018

Published

Hi everyone! I'm applying to FAU for the accelerated program beginning spring 2018. I made this thread to ask my own questions and so other people can do the same.

Anyone else taking classes this summer concerned that the deadlines been moved up? How am I supposed to get my application verified in a week if summer grades are posted Aug 9th and the new deadline is Aug 18th?

I was wondering the same thing. My class that I'm taking thankfully isn't required for the program, just my degree. Do you happen to know which TEAS report we upload to NursingCAS? The only one I can think of is the Individual Performance Report. I took my test at FAU so they told me I wouldn't have to pay to have my scores sent there. They make it all so confusing, and then they don't give you an email to contact in order to ask questions.

I have also applied to the program. Luckily, my classes just finished so I don't have to worry about the deadline. It can be frustrating though waiting for NursingCAS to verify everything. From what I've read, you may want to call them as soon as you send them your transcripts and ask to have them verified quicker. I've read a few posts where applicants waited for weeks and then they were "magically" verified as soon as they called them. As far as the TEAS report goes, they will have what they need since you took the test at FAU. They will automatically receive your scores...no need for you to worry about it.

I called the nursing office and the woman was pretty rude and unhelpful. She suggested I email Ms. Robinson (I think that's what her name is), and I said I had three times but she never responded... I ended up just attaching the Individual Score Report for my TEAS score. My transcripts have been verified already so I am good to go!

Hey there,

Just wanted to chime into the thread as I saw one is actually existent! But of course now the deadline has passed and applications have been submitted, so does anyone know the timeline between them sending out invitations for interviews and decisions being made? Good luck to you all who applied as well!

I haven't been able to get a good timetable either. I know they said the invitations for interviews will go out around the second week of September. On a side note, does anyone know someone who went through the program? I was hoping to hear what people thought of the program. I have applications out to a few different programs and am trying to narrow down my options.

Hello everyone!

I am also applying to this program as well.

Question: when I got accepted into FAU, they mentioned in the application folder about submitting my immunization form/records. I still have not done this, as I would like to wait and see if I get accepted into the nursing program before submitting those materials. Has anyone submitted these things or are you guys waiting?

Good luck to everyone!

Heyyy guys I'm also applying to the accelerated program and I'm super nervous about this interview! I'm from Connecticut and I'm wondering if they do skype interviews or does it have to be in person! Also what did everyone get on their TEAS I got an 81 and I'm hoping that's good enough! Also how high is everyone's overall gpa? Mine is over a 3.0 but i feel like it's low:(

I sure hope they do Skype or phone interviews. The email sent out today said the tentative date for the interview is September 29th. There is absolutely no way I can make it on that date. Also, I got a 92 on the TEAS test. My overall GPA is 3.86 and my prereq GPA is 4.0.

I got an interview! I'm so excited!

I got an interview as well! Excited and slightly terrified. I am so curious on the statistics of how many they interview v. how many applications they received.

I also got invited to interview as well. From what I've heard in the past, they invite around 80 applicants and accept about 40. It could be different this year though.

Good luck to everyone!
