FAU 2015 ABSN Applicants

Applications are open for FAU's January 2015 enrollment date! With just over 4 months until the deadline and 8 months to the start of the program, now seemed like as good a time as any to start a forum to ask questions, relay information, and support possible future classmates.

To start off, I was wondering if any one knew if they normally offer a ABSN program that begins in the Spring. I had only heard of admittance to the Summer semester at the beginning of May.

They enjoy being a little tight-lipped about the process but I have a feeling that it's going to be multiple applicants in a group and it may involve a panel. But I don't know know for sure. The interview is a newer addition to the admissions process. Last year may have been the first year they even did interviews.

Yes my friend just graduated this year and she was the last class that did not have an interview process to be accepted into the program. I'm very curious and excited! I wish everyone the best of luck!! :)

Hello I'm new to the forum! I got an interview invite as well.......excited, grateful, and nervous. Group interview seems to be way it will be. I'm waiting to find out what time the interview will be. Good luck to all!

Congratulations! I'm waiting to find out the time too! From what I've seen ( and what I hope) the ABSN track interviews usually happen in the morning with traditional happening in the afternoon.

That's what I've seen too but I wonder if it will be different since they aren't yet interviewing for the traditional track.

You're right debb. The traditional BSN students aren't going to be interviewed until March 2015. The traditional program starts in May. We are the first group of applicants for their new January starting date.

I wonder if that means it will be smaller groups since they're not doing both tracks the same day

I just called FAU and asked about the interview times. All they told me is that we should know "soon", but they're still working on the schedule.
