Fatima University- nursing school do grades matter?

Published

hi i'm enrolling in Fatima University this oct/nov and i'm from another country.

what if my grades on my transcripts were bad will they still accept any students with some bad grades?

yes! Fatima will accept you with open arms... hehe

Definitely! But try to consider other schools, like Dr. Carlos Lanting College. I believe it's better there (than Fatima Quezon City campus). Or if you really prefer Fatima, you might want to enroll in the Valenzuela campus.

Dr. Lanting College == doesnt require studying especially if your a second courser and just want a degree.

Fatima== regardless if your a first or second courser they teach you what they teach to rest of the batch.

How Do I know?

I went to fatima. And I have a batchmate who transfered to lanting because lanting is more considerate to second courses. Like duties, academic requirements, exams etc etc. But the major factor according to my batchmate, is that fatima requires you to study, while lanting you can get by without.

If you want to learn. may its fatima. If you want a degree with way lesser hassle go to lanting.

That's Fatima's specialty, students with low grades.

How's the schools reputation? Do they produce excellent nurses? Being that there's no regulation of nursing schools in the Philippines you really want to focus on a school that has an excellent reputation. I'm not knocking you because you have low grades, that doesn't make the person or the nurse, what matters is how you're doing while you're in nursing school, critical thinking skills, and how well you do on the job. I know a RN (from the US) who FAILED microbiology 3 times and is an excellent nurse. Now lets talk the opposite, I know a RN who is very book smart, but she has no critical thinking skills and she can't think in an emergency situation. Would I want her as my nurse? HECK NO!.

Don't count yourself out because of grades. Go and retake some of the courses you've taken and get the better grades. Nursing schools also like to see that you've improved in your grades. Some will take that into consideration. GOOD LUCK!

Now that's pretty scary, passing nursing school with out studying! How do you expect to learn with out studying? You may not be the studious person, but what you retain is also important.

Our Lady of Fatima University will accept you. There is no entrance/admission exam on entering the University. Problem is, the large number of students makes it all hard for the students.

i think its not only the grades that should matter but how you will you put to action the learnings. checked their passing rate at the PNLE

what is the best school for Nursing , I was considering Lanting college for my 2nd courser

Partly true.

Considering the size of the Student population of fatima. As explained in statistics, The more population you have. The more you get the typical bell curve or some sort of population distribution.

If the standard is high. the curve and mean will shift to the left because alot has low grades or scores.

If the standards is average the curve or mean be a normal bell shape because alot of the students perform average in relation to standards

If the standards is low. The curve and mean will shift to the right. Because alot of students get high scores.

That's Fatima's specialty, students with low grades.

lol. is this a compliment? or the other thing?
