im back again!

thank you for all the replies, youre all so kind to share!

anyway, i havent gone across a thread mentioning ireland as a place to work. Is it good n there? Im hearing a lot from it here in the Philippines. The doctor in the OR Im having my practicum is applying in Ireland.

Can you suggest other english speaking countries(which are not yet swarmed by applicants) that i can prospect for a job? Are the fees, exams, tests cheap enough for a poor Filipino like me to apply?

Can I be In that country immediately after i graduate? Do they need loooooong experience in my resume????

Thanks for all the help!

You cannot be in the other country working as soon as you graduate..........you have to sumbit a completed set of transcripts which are not available until after you graduate. You also have to go thru their immigration to be able to get papers which permit you to work. And this all takes time. Some countries require that you take your boards in your own home country first, others do not. Most will require that you complete a set of English exams. The UK requires that you do a 6 month preceptorship before being able to get your own license there, in addition to their other requirements.

So unfortunately there is no quick fix for working abroad. You must also pass the nursing exam in that country for licensure. :)

And of course, many want you to have experience first............

i see you mentioned OTHER COUNTRIES that does not require you to take to local board in the country youre originating from, if you mind my aSKING WHAT ARE those countries? If so, do they require experience, or should i get trained by them first? Its ok with me to take english tests, but I guess I wouldnt want to wait that long :chuckle

The US is one of them.................but you need to have a full set of transcripts from your school before you are able to begin working on any application. You will also need to do the set of English exams. And then you need to deal with immigration for a green card to be able to work. So nothing is a s simple as you think that it will be.

I only deal with the US at the moment, but also be aware that the exam must be done in the language of the country.............

Ireland and Scotland both follow the rules of the UK, so a six month preceptorship for foreign grads is required.
