Hi everyone!

I didn't see a topic for spring 2019 for this school so I thought I'd start it for everyone. Everyone feel free to share grades/teas scores and such! I'll start.

Statistics: A

Human Anatomy & Physiology I: A

Human Anatomy & Physiology II: A

English Composition: B+

Introduction to Psychology: B+

Overall GPA: 3.3

TEAS: 90.0 Overall (98th Percentile)

I found out that I only get a curriculum change and not an acceptance package, even if their email said otherwise.

I already go to Farmingdale so my major just changed.

Are you in a different program? I go to Farmingdale too. But I've been non matriculated.

Yeah I did STS for this semester to take some classes that also count towards nursing.

so I spoke to the department, and basically since I go to the school already, I will not receive the package. I just received a link to confirm a seat for the orientation

Hello. I'm on the same boat. I received the curriculum change and no package yet. I wouldn't worry about it. Confirm to the orientation date. Have you received the Northwell System modules to complete for the clinicals? If you haven't, make sure you reach out to them about that. The department has been very helpful via email and telephone.

is it the email concerning Northwell clinicals? if so, I read that email, and it seems to be addressing returning students and not us newly accepted students.

we haven't even registered for classes yet, how would we know at which hospitals we're doing clinicals? it seems that they send all nursing-related announcement emails in a non-specific or non-selective fashion. so I just assumed the email was meant for year 2 or year 3 nursing students... I may be wrong

@skyedecember You may be right. However, when I confirmed receipt of their email and forwarded them the completed modules transcript, they accepted the transcript. They also didn't advise me otherwise.

They do seem to include us, newly accepted students, in their current nursing student mailings. I assumed that they mainly used the Northwell System for their clinicals. The email I received did say that the training was due today for Spring clinicals. I would reach out to them just to make sure?

I assumed that too. I think we're just on the same email list as the rest of the nursing dept and was just gonna wait till orientation until I do any of that.
