Farmingdale State College Spring 2022 Nursing Program

Hi guys, I am currently a student at Farmingdale under the STS major. I plan on applying for the Advanced Standing Nursing Program in Spring 2021. I have not seen a thread for Spring 2021 so thought I would make one. Everyone can write their stats, TEAS scores, GPA, questions, and any concerns about the program on here. Hopefully this helps everyone out!

Hi and welcome! If you want you can message me and I can answer any questions and give you the scoop. There’s definitely a lot of info LOL but hopefully they at least will provide you with the packet we received at orientation that includes most of what we need to know.

@carolannyanne Thank you so much!! so annoying when I go to your profile to send you a private message I get "You are only allowed to send 0 messages per day. Please try again later". I looked it up and private messages are only for accounts with 15+ posts. So dumb, I have 6 LOL. Im not sure if maybe you can try sending me a message and it'll let me respond but it won't let me send one to you. ugh.

Oh lord haha yeah I only have 11 ? but if you join the fb group, look for the name of a member who has a similar name to my username and you can message me there as well haha

@NurseBritt25 Hi there! Did you speak with Ryan Neary at all? He’s the director of admissions. I HIGHLY recommend going in and speaking with him, and in person if you can. I went in and spoke with him and he was extremely helpful. If not perhaps email. Best of luck stay hopeful!

Thank you ! Yes he’s actually the one they called me and put me on the list . He emailed me after so now it’s just a waiting game .. praying for a miracle :)

Stay on them. Also, the deadline for all of us to submit required stuff if 1/10. If you don't hear anything by then call on 1/11. Biggest thing is make sure you're vaccinated by then. I know it's a touchy subject but they said no exceptions. 

Just to be safe I'd get titers for mmr, hep b and varicella, a tdap Vax, quantiferon (TB bloodwork), flu shot, and physical on farmingdales paperwork just to be prepared. 

That's the stuff they really emphasized at orientation.

Being I’m not “in” yet I wondering if they would give me that paperwork .. I’m going to reach out Monday .. rather be prepared just incase

U can just print the paperwork on the farmingdale site and do it in case. Can't hurt. It's under the wellness section.
