Farmingdale Spring 2020

Hi everyone!

I am applying to the Advanced Standing Nursing Program at Farmingdale for Spring 2020. Just wanted to see if there is anyone else out there applying. If you would like to share your grades, feel free! Good luck to everyone! ??‍⚕️

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

GPA: 3.67

TEAS: 82.7

Was just told if ours don’t come in time, as long as we have HUNTER GREEN it is Ok in the interim while waiting for them. Obviously ideal to have FSC ones but if they’re not ready, that is an option for first week or so.

I took the uniform to a seamstress. I had to have the pants taken up and the shirt taken in. I will have it all done by Saturday.

I went today also. They told me the uniform company is aware of start date so we should have them on time. She ordered me petite so I don’t trip on the pants

Im in plainview. Im guessing the first clinical day we will meet each other. Are you guys/ladies using laptops or printing powerpoints??im so confused as to what to do since its alot of classes this first semester. I also only ordered the scrub fsc top and bought the rest at work n gear. We are starting in a few days. Cant wait (?)

Yeah I was wondering the same thing about the first day of clinical if we are meeting before going to the hospital. Has anyone heard anything about that?

Also, has anyone gotten shoes to go with the scrubs and if so where? When I ordered my scrubs they said the shoes can’t have any logos on it so I’m wondering where I could get them? I’m going to buy a back up pair of scrubs in case mine don’t come in time so maybe a store that sells scrubs will have them?

I am thinking about doing both for the first week or so to figure out what works best for me and based off of how the professors are going to teach. Its going to be a lot of work but totally worth it. Can't wait to meet everyone ?
