FAMU where is it? Florida? How Much? I am currently enrolled in ITT Nursing Program Tampa Florida

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, its in Tallahassee, FL. I live in miami and nursing in miami is extremely competitive- to almost impossible to get into nursing school. I have a 3.41 as an overall GPA and a 3.67 in my sciences and I can't get in to any nursing school in miami, FL. Thus, i'm starting to apply more north.

Regardless, I was hoping someone could provide me with some info about FAMU's nursing program Any inforamtion would be great.

Thanks I applied to HCC had a 3.01 GPA needed at least a 3.5 GPA up to 3.9 GPA and at that exact time I saw the sign for a brand new nursing school just my luck right

Hi ladies, so whats the status? Well.... knowing FAMU, you'll probably find out if you were accepted in late September or early August :eek: . But best of luck to each of you! If you have any questions, just let me know. It might be best to shoot me a PM because I don't recieve notifications for new posts in threads. I just graduated this past Spring 2010 and am waiting to take the NCLEX. It was rough, but finally made it through!!!!!

Oh, and I had a 3.2 GPA when I was admitted into the program. I was truly blessed to have been selected, but I had transferred from a larger university, and didn't do as well as I could have during my freshman year so I had to spend the subsequent years bringing up my GPA. I finished with Cum Laude status at graduation.

So your GPA doesn't necessarily affect your ability to finish the program successfuly. There were a lot of my original classmates who got held back or kicked out of the program and their gpa's were MUCH higher than mine, so it really has to do with your determination and drive for success. If your GPA is on the lower spectrum, make sure you communicate what you plan on doing to be successful in the program if you are admitted in your letter of interest.

I had a 3.4 and I think alot of my classmate have around that GPA.

Hey all, Trying to get into a BSN program!!! But because of youth error MY CUM is a 2.9 as of May 2011 I know it isn't hear yet but I assure you it'll be straight A tat semester lol.... any how i was interested in FAM and here is what my Pre reqs look like... for those who got in do you think i even stand achance my pre req calculated out to like a 3.48 if i'm not mistaken

*PSY 2012 Introduction to Psychology (GRADE: C--SUCKY CLASS LOL)
