anybody applied to famu nursing for the fall of 2015

I highly doubt it's this week because the lady said Ms. Tillis (Or however its spelt) is on vacation, but then again that was last week sooo idk

Well not sure about everyone else but I'm going to think optimistically hoping it's close to what it was last year which was the 25th

Hey ladies, I applied to the program as well I'm waiting to hear back as well!

Hey, does anyone know if we have to attend orientation for famu?? I'm a transfer student so do we have to attend or will we just attend the nursing orientation if we get accepted??

I'm not too sure, I think I might just go to the orientation and try to explore the area. I want to look for an apartment since we won't have much time to figure out our living situation.

okay! I I'll probably attend orientation then! I'm not sure if I want to live off campus or on. But thank you :)

Hello Ladies,

Today, I was reviewing a thread that was created by a spring 2014 applicant. In that thread, I came across a comment from a current nursing student that said something along the lines of during the first semester we will be paying around $3000-books and nursing fees not included. Just thought that I should share this with you gals. For those who have a job, be sure to get those hours in.

I had to ask my friend who is a current Student started fall 14 and her direct quote was "$3000 W. T. F. !! O.o that's a lie!!" So don't let it deter you guys cause that's a good determining factor on whether or not one can be in the school or decline an offer... She did state that's how much the entire semester would cost but recommends Ebooks, Amazon. And former students as opposed to book stores ... Still I have 3 jobs grinding hard because I want to cut my hours during nursing school... But that scared me a bit I won't lie

@Keenabeena That's a relief because $3000 is nothing to sneeze at. If I hear or see anything else, I'll keep y'all posted. By the way, does anyone know how many credit hours nursing students take during the first semester? I've heard 13 from some and 15 from others.

Hello Future Nurses!

My name is Shanette a 3rd semester Nursing student. A friend of mine (Keena) brought to my attention that someone said they paid $3000 for books and I just wanted to reassure you all that its not true (Maybe I should say in my case). She may have bought all her books brand new or bought all the expensive stuff she could find lol but that is not true and I can speak for most of my classmates we did not spend that much. From what I am of aware of, most of us were able to use the left overs from the money they require you to have upon admission (I think its 600 or 700 ) to pay for our books and anything else you desired to do with the leftovers. I personally paid some bills because I too had 3 jobs and planned to drop two and some hours before I started nursing school.Hope this calms some of your anxiety down and Good luck to you all ! and for those who dont get a call DONT GIVE UP ! I didnt my first try and look where I am now. Stay Blessed

13 but if your a scholarship student 15

Has anyone heard anything yet ? About when they would call ?
