anybody applied to famu nursing for the fall of 2015
omg lol I'm thirsty too, you are not the only one, I went through the entire thread to lol.
Girl i am about to read fall 2013 a lot of my micro classmates were spring 14 or fall 14 so they're in now and I regret not being able to be with them but I'm sure to love my class once God allows me in!
This is my first time applying! With the way Tallahassee is set up and all this violence I'm here for summer and when I say it is ridiculous it is getting ridiculous !!! I wouldn't be surprised if fewer ppl applied based off the increase in violence ... But that's neither here nor there I'm not sure why ppl aren't engaged on here maybe they will after interview calls so they can get their nerves together but I check this daily lol I don't want to miss anything ! And this is my first time ever applying to nursing school I put all my eggs in one basket and I'm praying it pays off.. My gpa isn't as high as some but my prerequisites are awesome and I have 2 degrees and I'm very devoted to education and nursing would simply be a better fit for me in regards to what I want to do! So I'm destined to be older than everyone in the class but black don't crack you'd never know lol
lets liven things up... Where are you all staying? What's your back up plans if any? How are you planning to do your books etc?
This is also my first time applying to nursing school too and my gpa is also not high, but I faith. I don't know where I plan on staying, but my brother goes to FAMU now and he's going to help me look, but if you guys have any ideas of gooood cheap apts them let me know. My back up plan is to apply again in the spring and if not then pursue a degree in health sciences. And for books I'm not sure yet.
What's your price range? And did you want student housing and will you have a car ?? Those are important factors ... Adams point may be one of the better options seeing as it's right Down the road.. I stayed there 3 years... I am not fond of student housing and the cheaper ones like Univ Gardens, cottages etc are danger zones! College club and adams
pointe are party locations but Adams point I was on 3rd floor I had no issues ... Seminole grand, the blvd, or perhaps look into housing with another student in a town home... Other than that it's not a great turn around time from acceptance to orientation to starting class so definitely prepare in advance dear!
Right now I'm in central fl so I dont have a place to stay as of yet. I don't have a car, and I'm not sure if I'll have one by the time the program starts. My older sister stays there so if anything I'll stay with her until i find a plac to stay. I've applied to famu, fau, and unf. I am a former student of fau and they didn't accept me. I have an interview for unf and now im just waiting on famu. If these two back up plans don't work my plan c is to change my major to health science and then apply again in the spring. I'm not sure what you mean by books...

Mostly how do you plan on buying books etc a couple of friends have told me what books are unnecessary but I'm thinking the way my lovely alma mater is set up I won't have the option of waiting for aid so I have to pay out of pocket for my books most likely. But we shall see... It's such a quick turn around time I don't know what I would do if I didn't already live here!! And this wait is killing me i just need a call if they give me an interview they will know how passionate I am about becoming a nurse lol I think this is the week though FINGERS CROSSED! I know as a heads up be sure your suits are professional and no plunging necklines or anything too tight I'm getting mine as we speak
