Hello all! I just want to congratulate you all on receiving your interviews! I am a fourth semester nursing student here at FAMU and before you ladies get accepted (Because i know you all will be accepted!) ENJOY THE FREEDOM YOU HAVE NOW! If you ladies have any questions feel free to ask! Oh yea and FYI the interviews are a little intense but as long as you are speaking from the heart and they know this is something you want, you will do just fine! Good luck ladies!

@rsiffra, I'm not sure if it's required. I know last forum some people said it's not but you might want to check with FAMU to make sure.

@Medicalgirl2011 Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer our questions. Do you recall which semester nursing students are expected to begin going off site (FAMU's Campus) for clinicals.

Also, Do you remember what the $700 that we are expected to pay up front covers exactly.

You start clinicals off site your first semester but it's not that many, two at a local nursing home and one at basically a doctor's office and that probably won't be until October lol. You start your clinicals at the hospital in your second semester around February! And when you get accepted you'll have to pay for things such as background checks, a drug test, etc. And then also your uniforms (you'll get 3 scrubs, two name tags, two professional polos, a scrub jacket, a cardigan, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, a pen light, and shoes to wear to clinical) and I think that covers it lol
