So I am a new CNA. I got a job at a family care home. However, the owners are always there. ALWAYS.Which can be a both a blessing and a curse. I always arrive on-time or early. I always due my job plus some. I bring games and activities for the residents. I spend down time learning medication interactions. I work a 12 hour shift with no discernible break. And I always stay late to complete any work that hasn't been done. However, they never seem satisfied. In fact one owner seems hell bent on bullying me in front of the residents; and nit picking every little thing.
1) A small plastic bag was in the sink/reprimand
2) A cabinet open/reprimand and ordered me to stop eating with the resident to get up and close the cabinet
3) A drawer open/reprimand
4) Sponge on the wrong side of the sink/reprimand
5) Resident drinking the amount of water I was trained to give/reprimand
6) Washing hands in kitchen sink after washing hands in bathroom sink after assisting with toileting/reprimand
And the list goes on. All this was in about a 2 hour span. The more he nit picks the more nervous and jittery I get!
Does this seem like a bad situation or am I just being hypersensitive. The pay is decent, my schedule is ok, and the facility is beautiful. Should I move on?

I would move on unless you want to see yourself visiting a psychotherapist and on psychotropic meds two months from now.
Who's crazy in this scenario?
People will think you are if you continue to stay in that situation. There is definitely something wrong with these people. I feel sorry for the poor souls who have to live there.
Thanks for the clarification and your help. I was on the fence. I will definitely be giving them my 2 weeks notice in the near future!!!!

He freaks because of the sponge was left on the "wrong" side of the sink? Good grief.
I would leave the sponge on the "wrong" side more often.. just because I am crazy like that.
LOL Maybe I will try that.

Yeah do that enough times and maybe he will fire you and then you can collect unemployment! lol.
I had a boss that was just like that- a total whack job that picked on me for every stupid little thing. I got fired. I was so upset at first, but I should have seen it coming. He'd had about 20 secretaries before me and he was only in business for 10 years!
