Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Anyone applying to WesternU's MSN-E program? If so, do you know when they will start the interview process? What they look for in their applicants (gpa, extracurricular, etc)?

Current students--What were your stats like?

Any information would be helpful =)

Thanks in advance!

FYI: I have never been as sick as I was after the DTap. Be careful and watch out for the fever and headache. It was tourture.

ilnurse: so you have all the documented titers for your shots? lucky you! the MMR shot was $150 at CVS. I said heck no..and waited 4 hrs at the local clinic to get it for free

smilinsweetie: thanks for responding so quickly! Also, I noticed that it says there's suppose to be 2 pages of the "signed authorization for release of confidential information both TO westernu and BY westernu", but I only see 1 page. Am I missing something?

ilnurse:i must be strong as a cow then hahah, i took all the shots including Tdap within 1-2 days...didn't feel one thing.

skyline: I think you are missing 1 page..i remember in the front of the package there was 2 pages r/t release of confidential info

oh i just checked again and it changed to just 1 page...thanks for the help

For the MMR titer, is there a time frame as to when we received the shot?

I didn't need shots, I got the titers and I'm up to date. I'll go over the requirements again and make sure before I move.

Does anyone have any suggestions for apartments? I need one that's pet friendly.

Thank you for all the great info, congratulation all !!

For the MMR titer, is there a time frame as to when we received the shot?

I got my second chickenpox vaccine today and asked the pharmacist who gave me the shot about titers and he said to wait like 6 months for titers I would guess its probably the same for the others. If only I had gotten the chickenpox as a kid I could have saved $210. But I did save on Hep B and DTaP as there is a free clinic by Western that gives those shots as long as your LA County resident.

Oh and for any alternates out there a spot is going to open up real soon (not mine) as a friend of mine who got accepted is going to decline in the next couple of days as she starts APU on Monday.

Hi Skyline and Max: Western wants you to get a titer 30 days after the booster shots. If you had a booster longer than this it's okay.

Does anyone know how much it costs to get the titers done at the WesternU patient care center?
