Is anyone else applying to TCU for next fall? I'm just waiting on my final grades from this semester at my CC before I mail my application. I still have to take A&P 2 and Micro in the spring, but I got a 91.86 on my HESI. I'm really anxious to just get my stuff in the mail already!
And good luck to everyone else!

I'm applying for TCU Fall 2011 as well. I have taken all prerequsites except Chemistry which I'm taking this Spring. I was also gonna retake my AP I, but I found out that TCU will only average the two gpa's instead of taking the highest. I also applied for UTA Fall 2011 and now I'm just anxiously waiting.
I got the last of my final grades today. My application for TCU is now in the mail and out of sight :) Does anyone out there know when TCU Nursing makes admission decisions?

Hey, I also applied to tcu's nursing program for fall, 2011. I am really nervous and anxious to know if i will get accepted. Have you received your acceptance letter for the school itself? I am currently waiting, with all this weather stuff its taking longer:(

Yes I have applied for TCU Fall 2011. At nurse2be I'm waiting on acceptance to the college as well. I talked to admission and she told me that the nursing department gives them to March so hopefully soon. I'm completing Stats and Nurtrition have completed everything else. Good luck to everyone that has applied.
I also have not heard from the college yet, and my file has been complete for three weeks . Hopefully I get something in the mail next week!
But the wait from the nursing department is going to be difficult. I wish I could know about whether or not I'm in the nursing program at the same time.
I just got an e-mail from TCU admissions. They said they're having some delays with getting general admissions decisions out because of the weather. nurse2be was right.
I hope it doesn't take long to hear from the nursing school too

I am applying for Fall admission as well! I am hoping to join the Army ROTC program TCU offers. I haven't received an e-mail about the university being delayed in sending out acceptance letter but hopefully I will soon! March isn't too far away! Good luck everyone!
Well I e-mailed TCU Admissions sometime last week asking when decisions would be out (I'm so impatient!), so that's why I got a reply from someone.
I have always wanted to do Army ROTC, but I'm 99% sure I can't do it because of my back. I had scoliosis when I was younger and I had surgery to correct it when I was 12. I'm 20 now, almost 21, so in my mind I don't believe it affects me. But then again, I'm sure the military has reasons (like liability).
I did speak to an AMEDD recruiter about my situation, and all he could tell me was that AMEDD is given more autonomy with handing out medical waivers as opposed to enlisted personnel. It's still not a guarantee, but I figure it couldn't hurt to at least explore that avenue when I get into nursing school, even if it leads me nowhere.
I spoke to the transfer recruite today in admission. She stated that the nursing department will give them a list of the names of the applicants that they are interested in so that admission can complete the admissions process since there where so many applicants for the Fall 2011. Good luck to everyone.:smackingf
Really?! Ahhh, I'm so nervous!
So does that mean the nursing department knows who they want to admit already? Or does that mean the nursing department will do that once they decide on applicants?
Well I guess the applicants they want to enterview. I told her that I thought u have to be admitted to the college first and that is what she told me. I will b a transfer student so they r waiting on the list from the nursing department they have a lot of applicants. Again good luck to everyone.
