Fall 2018 Tarrant County College ADN program

Published

Hey guys 💜 just wanted to open a thread for Fall 2018 applicants at Tarrant County College ADN program! I know application cycle isn't open for about another month but I saw a few comments on the Spring 17 thread and thought we could have our own thread already!

I'm applying with the following:

A&P I: B

A&P II: A

Micro: A

HESI: 94.5

I can't wait to "meet" some of you on here and I've got my fingers crossed for all of us!

Yeah, I'm having second thoughts about tcc due to the fact that I live far away.

Did you apply to any of the other schools nearer to you? Clinicals for TCC will be on this side (fort Worth/Arlington etc) too

I applied to two others. Brookhaven college is the closest one but since their program is only 16 months it is very intense. The faculty informed me that usually half of the students don't graduate. But I'll choose between the two hopefully by this weekend

Does anyone know around what time they will start to call alternates if they have openings?

It can be anytime from now til 2 weeks into class and they will stick with that answer. Trust I was an alternate last application cycle and that is the answer I got every time I called. But yes they can call you anytime just be ready. You will still do a lot of the stuff the accepted students do and you just have to be ready when called.

What were your stats?

Just updating on this site for future applicants. I also got in the program!! My grades were A,B, B and 87 on hesi

Hey girl thanks for the information. I have 1 A and 2 Bs with a 82 on HESI. I am taking Micro for an A this summer so I will apply again with a better HESI score and 2 As next time. :) thanks again. Are you an alternate as well? If so what are your stats?

Hi, I was just updating the site because I know people look at stats all the time to compare their scores. I got in first try this time. I honestly think the applicant pool was not that high this time, because I saw on other posts that people with my stats were alternates. It's different every time.

I agree I was expecting to get rejected with 2 Bs

Congrats everyone. I am currently in lvn school and graduate this August. I plan to bridge over to adn right away. Hoping to be able to take my hesi soon and apply for fast track in 2019. Do you guys know your schedule yet? I'm wondering if I would be able to work and go to school at the same time. I have all B's in science. I wonder if fast track applicants compete against reg track?

We don't have our schedules yet. The regular and fast track applicants are separate.
