Fall 2014 Nursing School Applicants KC Area

Hello everyone,

I am just going out on a limb here and starting a thread for this years' applicant pool for the Kansas City area. I realize that notifications/application letters are not expected to be delivered until March (next month). However, as I am positive I am not the only one anxiously awaiting news, I thought it'd be a good idea to start a post. I have applied to the fall 2014 Saint Luke's, KU, Mid-American Nazarene University ABSN program, and UMKC's ABSN program. Has anyone else in the area applied to any of these programs? How about scholarship searching? Good Luck everyone!

I haven't received any extra information other than paying the deposit either. Im hoping they send something out soon because I am attempting to plan for August!

Hey guys, I have received pretty much all of the information from Saint Luke's to start this fall (except for a book/supplies list). I also now know my class schedule for the fall. Anyone else attending and know their schedule??

So far I have accepted a place at Saint Luke's, but I'm still waiting to make my final decision until I hear from UMKC. Where did you find your schedule?

I am awaiting a reply from UMKC's accelerated program as well, as the cost of schooling is an important and unavoidable factor for me. You can find your UMKC schedule online through the self-service icon (one of the logins they sent via email). Our schedules are automatically assigned this fall. I believe the online orientation course has more info :)

Thank you! I have a question, since you already got accepted, when will class start and what you have to do before to prepare for school??

There is an online orientation class that you become enrolled in whenever you get accepted. It has a bunch of different things to do (mainly online documents, etc). There is also a background check to do but it's all on the online course. The first day of my classes is August 20th. I'm not sure if everyone has the same schedule or not.

Hello student m14, I just got a call from the director offered me an acceptance! I am so excited, haven't received the register packet yet, but hope we could be in the same session! Will upgrade more info when I finish the second packet

Awesome, congratulations!! Now you don't have to worry about a time crunch to finish the orientation tasks you'll be right on time!:)
