Anyone apply for UTHSCSA fall 2012? Have they sent out acceptance letters yet? I no they have for there bsn program.

I applied for the bsn to dnp at usa with the emergency nurse specialty. I really want to get in but do not think I will. Has anyone heard anything yet?

I applied too, same track. I haven't heard anything yet other than the emails saying they received my applications. I don't have a good feeling about it either. Why do you think you won't get in?

Because my bsn gpa is a 3.5 but my overall is only a 3.0 and I have heard they always have so many applicants. I am also applying to usc in columbia. I am from anderson sc. My first two years of college I was distracted to say the least and did not do as well as I could have. I really want to get in.

I am worried for the same reasons. Overall 3.3. BSN 3.97. 8 years experience ER/ICU/Nursing Management. The number of applicants they receive worries me. Plus, the essay question was vague. My essay was about 5-6 pages long. Hope I did well enough on it.

my gpa is very similar also....3.3 overall, 3.7 nursing. i interviewed with U of Missouri last friday. i initially felt very good about the interview. but as the days pass, waiting for "the letter" i feel more and more pessimistic. i had a bangin' essay, but otherwise feel very mediocre. le sigh. :/

Wow ...if your essay was 6 pages then I defiantly did not get in. I didn't realize it needed to be so long.I wrote exactly what I wanted with one page. Oh we'll. I guess I need to retake a few of my pre reqs to get my gpa up.

bkennedy~ i wouldnt worry about the essay length. one school i applied to wanted a 5-6 page SINGLE SPACED essay, others wanted a 500 word essay....its just all in what they ask for.
