Fall 2017 Motlow Nursing Program

Published

I wanted to start a thread for the Nursing Program at Motlow Fall 2017?

Where does everybody stand?

What are the new requirements meaning for the Program? Does this mean less applicants this year?

Ive called at least 4 times to find out any info I can and cant get anyone to answer !

I found out that due to the mistake they are having to recalculate everything again. I would guess that we won't find out anything until after Easter.

I called yesterday and Nancy told me that emails will not be sent until next week, mid week at the latest. She has a way when it comes to being vague with her words.

I can't decide, cue the crickets, Jeopardy theme music, or a really good screaming song.

Both. There were scores that lpns had from their hesi taken at motlow that were "lost "

sucks!!!!?

I contacted Nancy today just to make sure my information was all correct after hearing about the problems some people had yesterday, and she put my mind at ease that everything was in order with my application.

She told me that there were 489 applicants for the 2-year RN program and 100+ for the 1-year LPN to RN bridge program.

She also said that they were hoping to send out acceptance letters around the middle of next week, so we'll have to hang in there and try to maintain our sanity for a few more days! :banghead:

Does anyone know how many students they take for each program?

20 total for the bridge, I'm not sure about the other.

I was told by the nursing dept there are 75 spots for the two year program .

Also, I was told by Nancy twice on two separate occasions that there were 696 applicants total .

There may have been that many applicants, but many are knocked off immediately due to low gpa or hesi scores. That's probably the difference in numbers.

Ok, well the 75 spots makes me feel a little better. I hope the best for all the lpn's.

There still would be that many denial letters to send out tho regardless
