Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Published

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

guys, is 7.55 & 760 Critical thinking enough for NH? I don't know if the critical thinking portion is just pass/fail or used for the draw ?

Is the critical thinking portion a different consideration for acceptance? Or is it just strictly about our score?

wondering the same ?

Right! Like it just hit me that we have to take the critical thinking portion but it’s not in the grading/scoring ????

What they did before, was whenever people tight in scores, they look on individual scores like CT. At least, that is what I’ve heard.

You need at least at a 750 Critical Thinking score for ADN, and if their is a tie I believe they used that score to break them.

I got waitlisted last semester! Went to the orientation got drug tested and even submitted all the paper work needed to start the program. I wasn’t called after all that soooooo I’m hoping that this semester isn’t as competitive. I didn’t want to retake the hesi. I applied to the lvn program as well(just in case)! I just submitted my application with a 7.3 with an 850 in critical thinking (NH,tomball, cyfair, Montgomery). I am also applying to a bsn program! Hopefully I am able to start a nursing program soon.

Same score. I really didn’t want to retake it.

I believe the application was only for 2 schools( Kingwood and cyfair, I think). This application period has more schools to choose from. So I’m hoping that gets me in...

Same here!!! What a waste of money!

I've been comparing NCLEX passing rates for all the Fall campuses, just for the fun of it.

Campus: 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015

North Harris: 93.2%, 92.4%, 85%, 80%

Montgomery: 94.7%, 100%, 86.2%, 92.3%

Tomball: 97.5%, 94.5%, 96.3%, 85.7%

Cyfair: 93.8%, 93.9%, 80.3%, 87.5%
