Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Published

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Oh yeah the childcare I'm sure is a killer. The financial responsibility as well because I looked at tuition cost, not considering all the extra stuff we need. I think that's why they normally send acceptance letters early. There is a lot to get in order to start and do well in this program.

Yeah, I have 2 boys, a 2yr old and 2 month old and if I had an issue with childcare right before the program started I’d have to drop out of it because there’s really nothing you can do about that situation but stay home with the kids and take some online classes.

Yeah and you're in there now! Whoop!! Go Tomball!!

Lol! God willing we are gonna be in there! ????

I just need them to send out these emails!!! Please!!!

I just wish they would put the Orientation date on the website so I can save the date. That would make me feel a lot better.

Yes this too!! ?

Does anybody know typically when the orientation usually is? Like is it a certain amount of time after acceptance letters? And is orientation absolutely mandatory? I’m asking bc we always go to Mexico in the summer and I really didn’t think of orientation and I already booked my flight for June 15-29. I’m panicking a little bit.

Does anyone know when CyFair had their orientation last year. I have a cruise Aug 9-14 and want to make sure that the mandatory orientation isn't at that time. I couldn't find it online please help.

@Nancyface23 so funny I was writing the same thing at the same time. HAHAHAHAHA!!

Orientation is mandatory. I think in the past its about 2-3 weeks after acceptance letters are received.

Thank you!

Not attending orientation might be a door for alternates as well. Lol. so if we hear back this week or Monday ? maybe on the 17, 24th or the 31st. I think they are normally on a Thursday or Friday too. But I'm guessing.

Orientation is mandatory because you have to take your drug test there and if you don’t go you give up your spot in the program
