Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Published

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

This is too funny. I’ll be saying Monday all weekend.

What if we don’t find out about the ADN till June ... the lvn program starts June 1 , so do we just drop out of the lvn classes lol sounds crazy.. and do they replace the lvn with alternates even though the semester would have started

Well it sounds bad but if I personally was in your position and got accepted into the RN, I think I would take that instead even if it meant dropping LVN. The thing is that if you drop out , it most likely will be a waste of spot bc I doubt they will let an alternate in after the program starts. I mean they did this to us, they can’t expect us to do everything right when they change it so last minute! The other thing my friend was saying was that if she sees dropping the LVN would have too many issues then she would just stick with it and do the ADN transition after.

Anyone else going to take vacations before school? (If you get accepted) ?

I heard we won’t have any time to travel so I think this summer would be the best time to!

When does the semester end?

Yes I’m in the transition program that start June 3, I’m going to Anaheim CA 5-20 to 5-23, then going Virginia Beach 5-30 to 6-2. Getting it out the way because I won’t be able to do anything for the next year

I accepted an LVN spot Fall 2017, graduated August 2018, and got into the Tranistion this summer. I tried to get back in as soon as possible. I am glad I didn’t turn down that spot because I didn’t get the RN spot that I wanted. It would suck if some of you gave up your LVN spot and didn’t get in, although I hope that doesn’t happen and that every one gets into their desired campus.

Did you have to take the HESI again? I’m holding my LVN spot until I know for sure about the RN.

I was at Kingwood campus, but it was flooded so we were sharing Montgomery campus

Hello Everyone, both me and My sister had applied to both CF and NH right before April 12th as we passed our Hesi two weeks prior. We are preparing to retake the exam for higher scores if we don't get in this round.

Let’s say they send out RN acceptance AFTER the start of the LVN, can you withdraw from the LVN to accept the RN position?
