Fall 2018 Lone Star Hopefuls

I have a question...can anyone tell me if you get accepted to LVN do you have time to wait and see if you were accepted for ADN? Not sure how this works...

I'm sure there will be enough time however, if not you can sign the letter of intent and if you decide to not to go with one for the other then you'd just have to email the nursing department and let them know that you're forfeiting your spot. No biggie.

When I went to Montgomery's info session she specifically mentioned that many people apply to both "in case" they are not accepted to the ADN program. You wouldn't be the first to do so. There is most likely a timeframe knowing that students apply to both. Or... maybe they just admit to ADN and not LVN? I didn't ask much about it bc I knew It would take me longer to meet the requirements for LVN vs ADN.

I know its late tonight, but honestly.. its super hard to catch any sleep right now anyways! This may have already been suggested, but after we find out our fate (which will hopefully be tomorrow) maybe those who are accepted in the same program with one another should meet up prior to nursing school starting? that way you have a "buddy" going into the program and aren't completely solo? I would be willing to!

CyFair's LVN letters went out already so now it's just Montgomery who needs to send out theirs. There are only so many spots so I anticipate that there will only be a day or so that the ADN letters follow. I also got the chance to ask a nursing advisor if the turnaround will be delayed due to the extended deadline, her reply was that everything is on track and that the extension was just to open up the application so that certain people could correct the forms that were submitted. I guess that's good news.

I spoke too soon. I just got my acceptance letter into Montgomery's LVN program! I am also waiting to hear back from North Harris ADN!! My score is a 7.8.
