Hi candycane i am wondering how you are liking the program at NH. I am currently stuck on which school to choose as my first choice. NH or Montgomery. How are the clinicals, professors, is it organized, etc.

I thought everything is to be turn in online but I got confused after I read this page.

LSC-North Harris Nursing Department

It says application is both Online and in Person for basic track. Does anyone know if we have to turn in hard copy to the nursing office?

It said to select your choices on the application online.

Sorry, another question. Does anyone have any idea how if how many people get accepted at each location?

Montgomery-

Transition program– accepts 20 students

Basic Track ADN– accepts 40 students

NH-

120 accepted for basic track ADN

All the rest I'm unsure. Those are the two I applied for.

Hi avsqz,

So I do not know much about the Montgomery program, all I know is that they had 100% pass rate last semester, which is pretty awesome.

So with nh, I love it here. It's one of the larger programs in the lonestsr program with 120 people accepted. Honestly, the professors help you through a lot. They want you to succeed and are extremely approachable. It is pretty well organized and the facilities are separate from the main campus. That being said, it is a lot of work but what nursing school isn't? Oh we also go for two full years, so fall, spring, fall, spring. We have summer off, which is much appreciated! I'm not too sure what Montgomery schedule is.

This campus didn't have as high of a pass rate as Montgomery but we also have more students, so that might be why.

If you have any other questions let me know!

So for those wondering about how many get accepted at each location, i just read this on one of the nursing department's Lone Star pages:

About 260 students enroll in the class: 50 at Lone Star College-CyFair, 50 at Lone Star College-Tomball, 40 at Lone Star College-Montgomery, and 120 at Lone Star College-North Harris.

So I thought that the ADN program was like 18 months because the 3rd semester could just be completed in the summer.. its 2 full years long with no summer classes? I have already been at Lone star for 2 years and am graduating with Associate of Science this May and have also completed all prereqs for when i transer for Bachelors..

Some lonestar programs are 18 months with school in the summer. Just depends on the school. So cyfair is 18 months, nh is 2 years. I don't know about the others

Yeah as far as nursing courses go, I have to start all over.
