Hi, I will be applying to hcc for fall 2020. My stats are:

overall gpa- 3.35

pre req gpa-3.5

teas- 75%

Do I have a chance of getting into the program for the fall term?

What has everyone done about the flu shot? My doctor said they don’t have it yet

You can turn your papers if you are okay with the other vaccines, but you have to wait until you get your second HepB doses to submit the papers for this requirement. For each vaccine, you must submit titers, and immunization records.

Thanks for the info! One more quick question. Are we supposed to turn in the immunization record in addition to the Immunization requirements form they fill out and the titer results. Because so far, I've only been uploading Titer results and the form they signed and stamped.

I'm just waiting for it to become available. Pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens tend to get them early, but you can ask your Dr office too. I think that's why they give us a while to get everything turned in.

I got mine at the Health Department. But don't worry, on the website that you are supposed to submit the form, there is not way to submit it yet. You have to wait until August to upload it. It is just for the Flu Form.

If you don't mind me asking, when did you get it at the Health dept? They told me at the Health dept they won't get any in until Sept or October?

Yes. I emailed them about it. I thought they didn’t receive my info when I completed it. I haven’t heard back yet.

I did the same thing. I asked if they are trying to tell me that they did not receive information that I completed on Monday. I have not heard back either.

I’m a bit confused about registering for classes for tomorrow.. Is anyone able to find 1020L-44170?

From the schedule that was sent today, there are four nursing classes totaling 11 credits. According to the nursing AS curriculum in the HCC website, it says year 1 - first semester is to take English composition 2 also. Is anyone else taking the 4 nursing classes and English comp 2? Or just the nursing courses?

You don’t have to. I think it’s a recommendation if you haven’t already taken it. You could always wait till the Summer to take it when you don’t have nursing courses.

I think I will wait until Summer. That way I can adjust to the program and figure out work and home. This is so exciting seeing it all come together.
