Hey guys,

If you were accepted into graduate school for the 2009/2010 join this thread for some fun!

1. Name your school

2. Degree you will be working on (including specialty)

3. whether you will be working full time or part time or quit

4. Will you be attending part time or full time

5. And ...

I'm first

1. CSULA, my alma mata (hope I spelled that correct)

2. MSN, FNP

3. Full time all the way, got bills to pay

4. I initially wanted to go part time, which would take 3 years, but I might just go full time

5. I'm excited to go back to school, just hope I am not going to get too overwhelmed with school and work although I did exactly that as an undergrad.

Okay that was me, who is next??

Specializes in ICU/CCU.
I'm about to graduate in August 2011. :) I started in 2009, graduated with my BSN in 2009, got some work experience during my first year of grad school, and now just doing aprn clinicals...I feel I learned a lot more now but still, I feel like "a resident" as my MD preceptors told me they feel I'm at that level...

What school? Do you like it?

Specializes in FNP-C.

University of Hawaii. It's been good to me. Lots of self-learning expected. Previous RN experience is definitely good, but not required if you're going FNP route. The thinking is different in my opinion and I have to think at the "MD role" since I'm doing nearly the same things they are except major surgeries. Notice I didn't say MD level... :)

Specializes in Med-Surg, Telemetry, Oncology.
1. University of Texas at Arlington

2. FNP

3. Working Full time

4. PT

5. and super excited because I miss school (I know sick isn't it):yeah:

How do you like UTA FNP program? have you graduated yet?
