Fall 2015 FNP Clayton State

Published

Hello- has anyone else applied to or accepted to the new FNP program with Clayton State?

Does anyone know how the clinicals are going to work during the week. Which days? I'm going to be working full time too. Would be great to start fixing my work schedule now. The program full time seems like its going to be intense but its like 72 weeks. Fall 15, Spring 16, Summer 16, Fall 16, and Spring 17.

I'm anxious to find that out as well. I feel prepared to handle the course work, but not knowing about clinically has me stressing ever so slightly í ½í¸Ÿ

Update please folks! How is it going so far? Anyone mind sharing their gpa?

Glad to have found this thread. I have decided to apply for FNP program at Clayton State Spring Semester 2016. I'm planning to get all my documents in by October 15. How is the program so far? Thanks

I wanted to apply to the Spring 2016 FNP program and I was told via email that they only accept students in the Fall. I would love to hear how others are doing in the program.

Hi Cococure. Thanks for your reply. Their website therefore has been misleading. I'll give em a call today and see what I can find out.

Hello all,

I know everyone is probably busy with studying. Just wanted to know how the program is going so far? Also np1967 did you get clarification on the Spring start date?

Thanks

Hey. I'm in the program and it's a lot of work. Numerous pages of readings, discussions, etc. I really have to stay on top of things so I won't fall behind. I decided to work full time and go to school part time.

Thanks for the update I really appreciate it, do they arrange clinical placements? I would love a school provided that service for their students. I am also planning on doing part time, one last question how often are you required to go to campus?

Thanks again

Hey Cococure,

I was emailing with the program director and she did say that since the FNP is a new program, there is only one entry session / year for now. She did say that the Educator track admits twice. Im thinkin bout going in for the Spring under the educator track then switch to FNP for fall. Just dunno if they will give me a hard time. What do u think?

Hey Onecoolchick,

Glad u stayin on top of it. That's what I was planning on doing. Work full time and go to school part time. That is if I get in. Working on my application and stuff.

That's a good route as long as the first classes are the same as the FNP program. You can always ask if that is even as option for you.
