Fall '16 Chabot, CSUEB, Ohlone, Merritt, and CCSF!

Published

Well, here it is...

After two and a half years of prerequisites I finally sent out all my application packets and am now anxiously awaiting the responses from not one, not two, but five schools where I have applied!

Nobody in my "civilian" life believes me when I tell them how hard it is to get into nursing school, especially in the Bay Area, so I came here to commiserate and get emotional support... lol

I applied to Chabot, CSUEB, Ohlone, Merritt College, and City College of San Francisco.

If anyone has applied to either of these, please share your experience and hang around this thread until May when we get our answers!

Good luck everyone!

Never mind. Just got the email.

Hi DeeninNurse! I got into Ohlone for spring as well!! I'm also hoping a few people chose other schools so that I can get bumped into fall, but if that doesn't happen I'm not even mad haha. This is my second time applying to nursing programs so I'll take whatever :)

Congrats everyone who got in! I was on the alternate list (#21) for Chabot college and just recieved my acceptance letter. I live in Sacramento right now, and am planning on moving down to Hayward. Does anyone have any advise on where to find an apartment?

Congratulations to everyone getting accepted:) I have a question for the Ohlone applicants who have been accepted for spring, would you mind keeping me posted if you get bumped into the fall start? I'm currently on the wait list and and hoping to get in for the spring start. Any information is greatly appreciated and congrats again to all getting into nursing school:)

I'll be sure to keep you posted misstaceyv! I'll be hearing from my top choice by June 10th and if I get in I will be giving up my spot at Ohlone :)

Ok thank you for letting me know!

Hi Cynthiaf13

Congrats on getting accepted:) I don't know of any specific apartments in Hayward but hopefully you find one:) If you can't find something in Hayward, you may want to look into Castro Valley, it's right next to Hayward so you would still be very close by. I'm from this area if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Misstaceyv, I was just notified that I was accepted into my top choice! I will be giving up my spot at Ohlone (:

Congratulations Lizdey! And thank you for letting me know!

Hello, just curious did you get in ? And what was your teas test score thanks. I am a veteran also applying this fall. And I was thinking about retaking my teas.

So exciting that you got in! I just got in for Spring 17! I'm wondering if you can tell me anything about what it's like? Any helpful tips? I'm kind of terrified because I don't know what to expect! Thanks : )
