Well, here it is...
After two and a half years of prerequisites I finally sent out all my application packets and am now anxiously awaiting the responses from not one, not two, but five schools where I have applied!
Nobody in my "civilian" life believes me when I tell them how hard it is to get into nursing school, especially in the Bay Area, so I came here to commiserate and get emotional support... lol
I applied to Chabot, CSUEB, Ohlone, Merritt College, and City College of San Francisco.
If anyone has applied to either of these, please share your experience and hang around this thread until May when we get our answers!
Good luck everyone!

Hi there!
I've applied to CSUEB, and am hoping to get accepted and offered a place at the Concord campus, since it's closer to home in Vallejo. I've also applied to multiple schools- CSUEB, SSU, and CSUS for their BSN programs, and Solano, Napa, and Los Medanos for the ADN programs. Good luck to the both of us!!! :)

Thanks for the moral support Stephanie. Good luck to you!
When do you find out from the other schools?
All around the same time, I believe in May! Trying to keep calm and collected while I wait on responses, lol!

Hey waterlily777 ! Congrats for completing all of your prereqs and submitting those apps. Your experience will definitely get you points to all of these programs, and I think it'll make your transition to nursing school a lot easier compared with those who do not have clinical experience like yourself. Out of this list of schools, I've only applied to CSUEB. I doubt I'll get in though as the beginning of my undergrad haunts me. Here are my stats:
3.46 Cumulative GPA
3.6 Science GPA
89.3% TEAS
I don't like the fact that all of the CSU schools and community colleges only admit applicants based on numbers. I think that usually weeds me out, however, I have received acceptances at a few other schools. I've applied to University of San Diego, UC Davis, University of San Francisco, Drexel University, Samuel Merritt University (ABSN, ELMSN-CM, ELMSN-FNP), and CSUEB. I feel like I'm forgetting a program or two but nonetheless I'm a second degree seeking student. I received acceptances to Drexel University's ABSN, Samuel Merritt University ABSN, and University of San Diego's MSN, and I was waitlisted to Samuel Merritt's FNP Program. Lastly, are you a Veteran? I noticed you used the word "civilian," and as an employee for the VA, normally only military personnel say that lol. If so, you are a sure in to CSUEB so long as you meet all minimum requirements as they have a really good Veterans preference benefit for their nursing program. Best of luck to you!

If you don't mind me asking what kind of GPA are you applying with to CSU EB?
I have a 4.0 GPA, but only a 88.7% on the TEAS.
Thanks for the encouragement KO.
I'm not a veteran, I was just referring to non-nursing people. lol
Congrats on getting accepted into Nursing School!
Good luck!

Thanks waterlily777 ! Your stats are near perfect, and I'm confident that you're a sure in for the CSUEB program and probably the others too!!! CSUEB accepts 120 or so students (half for Concord and half for Hayward), so your chances are really good. Here's to 2.5 more months of waiting
I'm also a veteran applying to the CSU EB program. I got a 4.0 science GPA but my overall GPA is only a 3.3 lol I'm scared too many veterans might apply and they might have to deny some of us but hopefully not. I asked the admissions staff about retaking my TEAS test and they said there's no point in retaking it since they guarantee spots in the program so hopefully everything works out.
