Fall 2010 Applicants.. How's it going?

I'm finding it hard to wait until April for acceptance results and I was wondering if anyone is feeling the same way, so I figured I would start a discussion thread about it.

If you applied for Fall 2010 programs,

What school(s) did you apply to?

What is your first choice?

When do you expect to find out, or have you already?

What will you do if you don't get in anywhere?

how is that possible? According to the admission lady told me, they go by in order, like first come first serve. If that is true, your friend must be really lucky.

Just curious if either of you have recieved your letter for spring 2011. My current number is #69 and thinkin i'll probably be just on the cusp of getting in and have to wait another year. Keepin my fingers crossed!!!

I did not receive the letter for Spring 2011 yet. Did you get your yet. When did you apply?

No, I havent gotten my letter yet. I checked on previous ones and they are dated around the 13th of October so I have to be patient for about two more weeks. I finished Micro in the fall of 09 so i guess that would make my first application for spring 2010???? My start number was 180! If your last number was 67 then we should make it into the same semester.

Well, good luck for us all. The school only accept 40 students per semester. SO, the chance are been select is not good. maybe next fall of 2011. well, let me know. i'll keep you update.

just stay calm .... good luck to all.. i have received my letter already for the partnership at the hospital... only downfall they only take 10 out of 40.... but those 10 will be well taken care of.....letters should come around soon.....cant wait to start... im starting this spring already ;)

I think its 40 plus the ten from st. B's partnership program so Ill just hope 19 people drop :D I'll keep you posted as well.

i got in..... next wed is the orientation...... just wait it out guys.... fall will be around the corner as soon as you know.... time just passes...... im dissapointed though they didnt do the partnership after all with CHW this semester.... im hoping next semester they will..... so far most of the RN's i met that graduated from this school already bought a house and etc... so its worth the wait ;) ....keeps your eyes open w St B's, Arrowhead and LLUMC.....some of these hospitals still are a shortage in RNs .... so we will see what happens in the future....

There is something that perplexed me. If you got in then I should be at least waiting list #9, but my current waiting list number is twenty something. How is that possible? Are they give first priority to those who lives in SB county.

Got my letter last Friday and Im number 27 so thats a definite in for Fall '11 which will actually give me more time to prepare that starting in January. Rollerman, you should be 25 then since you were 2 spots ahead of me on the last letter. I called and talked to someone in admin and they said there were quite a few "repeat" takers this semester which cut down on how many they could take. I went down only 42 spots. Congrats Corria!!! now we have someone to call for answers when we start!!

A friend of mine tell me that SBVC does not require you to take the teas test. is this true?
