Hey everybody!
I just joined the site today. School starts Aug. 14 and I already have butterflies! I am taking anatomy. I am down to just my 3 sciences for pre-reqs. Anatomy, Physio and Micro. I had attempted physio last semester but didn't do too well since my teacher wanted us to basically memorize verbatim what she was saying.:angryfire A counselor at the community college I go told me to go ahead and drop it and this semester take anatomy, because I should have taken anatomy before physio and also it would be better point wise for my entrance to the program to drop and take a w than pass with a c. So anyways, the nursing program staff reccommend you take the sciences one at a time..one per semester. So I am sooo bummed becuase I don't want to be in school thiiiis long. I graduted H.S. in 04. I got married in oct. of 05 and with taking these classes one a time, one per sem. this mean I will have 4 more years of school after my past 2. so in total 6 yrs of school. SOOO frusterating! The college I go to has dropped Chemistry and Nutrition as pre req's as well. Which stinks becuase I took nutrition and Chem. (Didn't finish Chem)I am not a science person, and I work full time (but my job is awesome and my boss is cool and lets me leave for school during the day) I am also married to a preacher so we constantly have Bible Studies. Anyways to make a long novel short.. Any suggestions on how to get through my schooling a little faster?? Or at least cope with the process... I thank all of you in advance!!!!

If you feel confident enough to take the classes together then take them. of course you have to get the good grade that will get you in. My school suggested not to take the 5 week Micro, A&P I , and A&p II, but i took them anyway cause i did nto want to be in school taking pre req's forever. Was that a good Idea i think so i got th grades, hard work but i did it.

I'd say if it we're me I'd take more sciences at a time, (but I like science). Also are you going in the summer? I plan to take what I can in the summer to get me thru faster. Also this place seems to be a great place for support, so come vent when you need, to help cope with the stress.
Thanks!!
Yeah the counselors and nursing program staff have also advised me to not take any of those sciences during summer. I am highly thinking about tackling two of these classes either this semester or next because I don't want to be in school forever either!!! I want to get to my job as soon as possible! Yeah I probly will be venting a lot on here! so be prepared! LOL!
Thanks for the advice!
