I submitted my app to Fairfield University's May 2024 CRNA program, just thought I'd start the forum now for everyone.

Neuro ICU 6 yrs, CCRN, preceptor, charge nurse, GPA wasn't great - 3.24 undergrad but I retook 7 math/science courses in the last year to boost it

Got invited to interview this past Monday - email came through at 8:30 pm and I chose a date in October. So excited! Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know if Fairfield makes it to second round interviews or if they typically fill up and pick all their people with first round interviewers?

If it goes anything like the last couple years it's only first round interviews. I imagine it will be the same especially because they are so much later this year than the past. However I do know last year if people denied the interview they sent more invites the following week to fill those spots.

Just received a waitlisted interview type email. At least it's not a total rejection at the moment! Good luck to everyone interviewing.

I did as well- from what Im hearing and reading, they typically never go into the second round of interviews /-: kind of feeling sad and defeated but maybe someone will decline and more invites will be extended

Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology with a 3.8 GPA, then graduated from an Accelerated BSN with a 3.9 GPA.

5 years as a BSN, RN with 3.5 years in MedSurg/Neuro ICU (of which 2 years were travel ICU during COVID). Scored high on the CCRN, NIHSS/BLS/ACLS/PALS, experience with EVDs, CRRT, PA catheters, etc. 

Completed year 1 of 3 as a DNP-FNP student with a 4.0 GPA, but realized my passion for CRNA mid-program, which is why I'm switching!

The program director is actively reviewing my application now. Has anyone heard back yet for the Austin campus?
