I submitted my app to Fairfield University's May 2024 CRNA program, just thought I'd start the forum now for everyone.

I talked with the administrative assistant while I was waiting to go in for the interview and she said it has to do with whether they REALLY want to accept that candidate before they possibly get taken by a different program.

No. That's impossible. I haven't been accepted early.

LOL... I attended a mock interview once and the person running it was like every candidate is graded based on certain criteria. I am guessing the early acceptances are those who scored high throughout the interview process.... ??♀️
Someone must've been paid off?! #LoriLoughlin...But seriously Id say a large portion is just how you present outright. There's the whole interview process but I think your "energy" and how you initially present in the first 10min is a huge determinant. But that might just be me sounding a pinch pessimistic as I continue to refresh my emails every 5 minutes

100% this. You got an interview, so your stats speak for themselves. I felt like they were more interested in getting to know me as a person than they were as a clinician.
I'm an introvert myself and I mangaged to get a spot. I just practiced a lot and made sure I interviewed early. I didn't walk in there with the most confidence. I barely slept the night before secondary to nerves. I honestly made sure I had an answer for every question the threw at me. I looked everyone in the eyes. I greeted everyone coming in. I broke the ice with some humor. I shook everyone's hand at the end of the day. I also wrote a personalized thank you letter for each member of the panel avout 24 hours later. Overall I felt good, but not great. In retrospect, I know that I definitely had a genuine answer ready and when it came to the scenario questions, I thought out loud. Above all, I credit God. I honestly hope this helps. There are a few days left, so don't lose hope.

I wonder if already having matriculated from their nursing program has any weight on the early decisions since they would already have ties to the school admins?
