Nursing Students SRNA

Hello all,

Since I could not find any threads for Fairfield 2021 CRNA program, so I decided to start one. Has anyone received interview invitations or heard anything from them? Thanks

Hello all,

Congratulations to those accepted! I am a current BSN student and am seriously considering applying to Fairfield University's CRNA program. Although I am years from beginning my application process, I have some very important decisions to make during my undergraduate years (choosing internships, retaking courses, searching for an ICU residency, etc) to maximize my chance of acceptance. I was hoping some of you would be willing to post your stats, classes you chose to re-take and why, science GPA's vs BSN GPA's, leadership positions, years of experience, and other aspects of your application that you feel were important to your acceptance.

I wish you all the best of luck on your journey to becoming a CRNA, and thank you for being a role model for hopeful undergraduates like myself.

Be yourself, be confident, and be comfortable with your answers. As long as you get an interview, you are on a level playing field with everyone else. Practice your interview. I went on Youtube and looked at Bolt CRNA. If email him, he'll send you a 26 pages worth of questions. These range from clinical experience to the different personal questions you can be asked. Good luck along your journey!

Sorry nurse0421! That was for pokerface08. Read through the requisites for each program. There is a great site that you can use to see all the states the requirements for each school within that state. https://www.all-CRNA-schools.com/nurse-anesthesia-schools-by-state/

I took some master level courses online to cushion my resume. If you need to take Chemistry, I suggest Oregon state university. It is online, relatively inexpensive compared to other schools, no matriculation or transcripts required, and the teachers are awesome. Physics can also be taken online, but I'm not sure if OSU offers that. Hope this helps! Good luck! I had to go back to school to get my bachelor's degree before applying after being in nursing for almost a decade. So be patient with yourself. When the time is right, you'll know.

Hello guys! I got an interview this coming month is sept and there’s about 5 different days to pick from. I see a lot of comments about “first round” and “second” round of interviews…. How do I know if I’m in the first or second round? My email doesn’t mention those two words

It will say second round in the email.

@skyline1627  Thnak you! In the case, I am in the first round. I am honestly sweating already. Every nurse forum I have read said it’s extremely clinical based, and that’s fine- but I get very anxious sometimes so I’m even more nervous now than ever. LOL

Its a long day so make sure you’re well rested. If this isn't your dream school think of it as practice. If you don't get it then oh well try harder and learn from your mistakes. It's OK if you fail because it will only lead to success in the future. Good luck!!

Hello! I’m applying for the 2022 cohort and have my interview with Fairfield later this month. Could someone tell me about the interview style and questions they were asked in their interview? I’m studying and prepping for line now but feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the possible questions I could be asked

Geez. Just finished my interview. Only 1 personal question and 1 clinical question. Seemed very impersonal. Now waiting for the writing prompt. Oh well! If I don’t get in, it’s okay. I’ll get in somewhere. Fingers crossed?? Good luck to everyone else out there!!?? think positive ?
