Hello all,

Since I could not find any threads for Fairfield 2021 CRNA program, so I decided to start one. Has anyone received interview invitations or heard anything from them? Thanks

Did anyone get an acceptance?

Acceptance and waitlist went out. If ya didn't get any...well join the club and lets move on LOL. Next!

what you receive is an email stating whether or not you are accepted in the program. Also if you haven't heard from them you can email the director directly.

Hello all,

Congratulations to those accepted! I am a current BSN student and am seriously considering applying to Fairfield University's CRNA program. Although I am years from beginning my application process, I have some very important decisions to make during my undergraduate years (choosing internships, retaking courses, searching for an ICU residency, etc) to maximize my chance of acceptance. I was hoping some of you would be willing to post your stats, classes you chose to re-take and why, science GPA's vs BSN GPA's, leadership positions, years of experience, and other aspects of your application that you feel were important to your acceptance.

I wish you all the best of luck on your journey to becoming a CRNA, and thank you for being a role model for hopeful undergraduates like myself.

Hi guys! I recently applied to Fairfield Universiry today and am hoping for an interview soon!! Out of curiosity, those who applied to this school and were interviewed, how was the interview?

was it clinical based or mostly a personality interview? I’m very nervous! Any feedback would be very much appreciated ? thank you!!

Its a very long a drawn out process.  You spend 8a-5p.  They asked 3 personal questions.  There's also an article you read and you have 1 hour to write an essay about it.

Thank you so much for replying! Based on the essay, I suppose I have one hour to write an essay there at the program. Any tips/recommendations about it?

Nope...It's a completely random article probably 5 pages long and you have to answer a random question about it.  No way you can prep for that so don't stress it.  When I had my interview it was all through zoom.  I don't if they are switching to in person now.  I hope you have a high science GPA and regular GPA because Fairfield really stresses those including a physics class.

Oh wow! You are so kind. Thank you for all that info!!? I have a 3.8 science GPA and have a 4.0 in my BSN. Overall 3.987. Valedictorian as well. I don’t however have a physics class… so maybe I won’t be selected! It’s OK. Life goes on ? thank you so much though!! I hope you’re well!

Those are actually really good! As long as you have a decent amount of ICU experience you should end up with an interview. Best of luck to you! And remember if you didn't get in then oh well it wasnt the school for you. Took me 3 years to get into a program (not fairfield) but the wait is worth it ! Just stay positive

Thank you!! If I may ask, what program did you get into? I had an interview at cedar crest college but they only accept EIGHT students since 2 are already waitlisted from the previous year!! That’s insane. And I have one next week In Minneapolis. I always have a hard time answering the “tell us about an ethical dilemma and how you handled it.” I never know what to say haha

Would love to say but its a new one and don't want to jeopardize my seat just incase.  If you’re getting interviews then you’re on the right track! One will eventually bite! the more interview you do the easier they become.
