:oI failed nclex. I am not for sure whereI went wrong. Is there anyone who is willing to offer some advise. At this point I really don't know which direction to go in. Thanks in advance to all those who reply.

why dont you check out suzannes plan. its at the top of the forum page and should say "revised tip of suzannes plan". i am using it after failing my 1st test. i am hoping to re-take b4 nov. her plan using only one book and thats saunders 3rd edition and cd. it also has 100% pass rate w/ testimonials on this site too. just do a search.

Sorry to hear you failed, Have you received your print out to what areas you need to look at, that does help, also Suzanne's plan is a good one to follow. Give yourself some time to get over failing and recover mentally and once ready start studying again

Hang in there and don't give up

Oh, I am so sorry you didn't pass. Look at the weaknesses and go for it again. At least you have an idea of how is the test next time you will pass. Go after Suzanne's study tips I am doing it too ;)

You have my hand over your shoulder, DO NOT GIVE UP! Best of Luck to you!

i took my nclex a month ago, and also didn't pass. i was really bummed. then i found out, that 50% of my class didn't pass, and wow, not that i didn't want that to happen, but, i'm not so bummed out anymore. it happens... i just did kaplan review, and the questions are really hard, but very good. i am doing that and i've done the first step in suzanne's review... i am going to pm her, just not sure if i'll have enough time. i think you need 45 days to do the whole thing... i am not sure i am ready to retake nclex yet, i am a bad test taker, but i'm going to give it a shot in a couple of weeks. i've been getting 60-65% on the kaplan stuff...

i have to say, it really stunk to go from gn status to cna status at the hospital. i haven't done any nursing care, and feel i will need to redo my whole orientation at the hospital. unfortunately, i'm pretty sure the hospital won't want to do that, and when i do pass, bam, i'll be on the floor taking care of patients... so i am sooo ready to be an rn, and not a cna...

my advice is: keep focused, do 100 questions a day between now and your next attempt, and relax. it will happen for both of us...

take care and great success to you!

I am so sorry to hear you didn't pass. It must feel horrible, but just remember that you are not a failure, you just didn't pass Nclex.

Try to look inward and come up with another strategy, and use some of the tips from the other posters.

I wish you all the best and God's peace.

Hey how are you, miserable I bet. Listen hang in there the nclex is a test written by nurses who no longer cut it in the field so they sit in a room and think up bs questions in order to confuse. I failed it the first time, and believe me it was a tragic blow. But guess what I went and got a tutor and she was awesome.

Go out and purchase Davis NCLEX RN success 2nd edition. Start in order and only do 25 questions a day.

How you answer the questions is this:

look at the question in your head pick what you think is write...do not answer. With ur med-surg or other text look up every answer and see why it's right or wrong.

Do this for 2 months and when you are answering 90 % right on the test...before researching ur ready.

and remeber nclex is the best of the worst responce...

I passed the 2nd time at 121...I am a peds nurse and love it

Good luck u will pass

to begin with i stepped out on faith. i took off 5 weeks. i don't want anyone to get the wrong ideal. i didn't study everyday. i would study at my dining room table. may an hour or maybe less. did some questions. watch tv or etc. later in the day maybe go back to the table. the reason for taking off work was so that i didn't get the real world confused with the nclex world. it was hard for me to study while working. everytime i would get into studying it would be time to go to work. so it was much easier not to think about work. i also fasted one day a week. towards my test date i would fast until noon. i prayed and prayed and begged the lord to allow me to pass this test. i started to get sick toward the end of my studying so i stopped. i asked the lord to show me what i needed to look at. the items that i looked over before my exam, where on my exam. before i started the tutorial i prayed. when my first question came up i prayed. when i was stuck i stopped and prayed. when i last looked at my screen i was on around question 66. i honestly can not say when the computer shut off. it was like a i was on cruise control and god was in control. i can not take credit for the work that god did. because truly it was god that allowed me to pass. nclex can come from anywhere.

the materials i used were feuer's, kaplan q bank, and nursing made insanely easily.

may god bless each and every test taker.:redpinkhe
