Florida nursing salaries - seriously????
No Way... They are consistent with Manatee Memorial (same company) and new grads are around 19.50-21.00... And I believe Blake Medical Center is 19.50 ish also... Sad but true... I don't know about Sarasota County, but I believe Doctor's would be around the same as Blake... Same hospital... I mean blake and doctor's are the same company not hospital... HCA I believe.

Failing nclex
i took my nclex a month ago, and also didn't pass. i was really bummed. then i found out, that 50% of my class didn't pass, and wow, not that i didn't want that to happen, but, i'm not so bummed out anymore. it happens... i just did kaplan review, and the questions are really hard, but very good. i am doing that and i've done the first step in suzanne's review... i am going to pm her, just not sure if i'll have enough time. i think you need 45 days to do the whole thing... i am not sure i am ready to retake nclex yet, i am a bad test taker, but i'm going to give it a shot in a couple of weeks. i've been getting 60-65% on the kaplan stuff... i have to say, it really stunk to go from gn status to cna status at the hospital. i haven't done any nursing care, and feel i will need to redo my whole orientation at the hospital. unfortunately, i'm pretty sure the hospital won't want to do that, and when i do pass, bam, i'll be on the floor taking care of patients... so i am sooo ready to be an rn, and not a cna... my advice is: keep focused, do 100 questions a day between now and your next attempt, and relax. it will happen for both of us... take care and great success to you!
