im just so frustrated.. :crying2::crying2::crying2:

if you also failed the first exam or more, but now you passed already, can you share your experiences, tips, and strategies on how you made it?

i appreciate it. :redpinkhe:redpinkhe:redpinkhe

hi! i just wrote a super lengthy version of my nclex x2 experience. it's the thread a few above yours. good luck!!

I felt the same way!! When the nurse has asked me if she could help me to pass them I thought there was no hope for me and I had already accepted that I was just going to forget that part of my life..go back to school for something else if i wanted or work the job I was working forever..and THANK GOD! that I didnt give up! DONT GIVE UP!! the feeling of passing is amazing..I can't even explain the relief you will feel and how proud of yourself you will be! ! ..I took my boards the first time in july of 2007 and then again in December of 2008..so over a year..I gradauated from school in may 2007...so you still have a chance! you need to spend TONS of time reviewing med surg..I did and that made me have SO much confidence..it does come back to you once you read it over. I also want to tell you want happend to me for waiting over a year..in case it is the same in your state...you get 6 chanced to take the boards...and in my state.. i dont know if this is for every state...but you have to take it 3 times in a year from when you took it the first time..and since i didnt take it at all in the first year..I was required to take a refresher course..and show proof that I did so..and then when i finished that i was then allowed to take my boards..and it was considered my 4th try...when in reality it was my second time...so if that is your case as well! DO IT! and sooooon! put everything else away and spend all th time you can studying! it is SO worrth it! If you end up having to take a course it ISNT cheap! it ended up costing me 400 bucks plus the 200 for thee test again...if you have the money def so the medpub.com thing..the questions are soooo much like the boards..it is def worth the time and money :) IM glad I could inspire you! do the test again!! i believe in you! :) keep in touch!

thank you sooo much!! actually i though its just happening to me... thats why i signed up to this site, and knew that im not the only one... i know i can do this.. whew! i hope so. :cry:

so what review class did you take...? i really need to have a review class... ive tried to do it by myself twice but failed. thanks!

http://www.medspub.com they have reviews on there and things you can pay for...they are quite expensive but it worked for me and it def helped me with my med surg..and again..the questions from there are very very much the same...if not are the same as some questions i had on my boards.

Well ladies, I failed nclex 4x in less than 2 years. At first I used Kaplan twice because they guaranteed a pass, and if you didn't pass, they wanted you to try again. Both times I failed. I spoke to my Nurse Manager who suggested I take the NCLEX-PN, so that I will be able to work as an LPN while I study for the NCLEX-RN. I took the test and passed the first try.

However, I was doing 12 hour shifts, and I decided to try to test again and I was unsuccessful again. That is when I found this website. I was able to gain strength and hope from many people here, and they suggested that I use Suzanne's plan. Suzanne sent me her plan and to be honest with you, I didn't follow it the way I should have and I went to test and failed again.

By this time I was on the verge of giving up. I told my husband that I was done, and I was going to do something different. He told me, "NO". He said that I was already an RN, and I can beat the test. I also joined a thread here for "February Test Takers", where they prayed for all the people who were testing in the month of February.

I did Suzanne's Plan to the book. I studied all that I could, and stopped studying 3 days before my test. The day I went to test, I was so sick. I was coughing, sneezing, and just congested. I was going to cancel, but then I changed my mind. I took my time and answered the questions carefully. By the time I looked at the clock, I ran out of time at 243 questions, and I broke down.

The lady in the test center walked over to me and asked me if I was ok, and I told her yes. I was exhausted, sick, and just tired, but when I walked out of the test center I told myself that I passed.. Two days later, I checked the site and I passed. I immediately just fell to my knees and started to thank GOD.

Next month, I will be an RN for a year, and I am a Charge Nurse on my unit. I am also applying to an MSN program and getting ready to take my GRE's in March.

So DON'T YOU GIVE UP.. The NCLEX does not determine what type of NURSE you will be.

If it wasn't for GOD, Prayer, and the support of allnurses, I probably would have given up.. WE ARE ALL HERE TO SUPPORT YOU. You CAN and WILL PASS THIS TEST, but you have to BELIEVE it..

STAY POSITIVE AND YOU WILL PASS THE NCLEX.
