I just found out that I did not pass :othe NCLEX-RN exam and I took every question(265). My question is what can I do different, I answered 4000-5000 questions, Hurst review, Kaplan, and NCLEX-RN 3500. On my NCLEX report it said near passing on every area. This was my first time to test, I want to make sure I pass when my 45days is up. Any help is welcolmed thank you.

Investigate Suzannes plan at the top of the forum and decide. Im using it and so far so good. I feel as ease using just 1 book and not to mention. I can recall every single question from my NCLEX and IMO Suzannes tip is what I should have used b4. Uses Saunders 3rd edition Comprehensive.

First, you're not identified as someone who FAILED the boards, you're simply retaking them. Get the failure out, you SUCCEEDED in passing school, you just need to take this test before you work.

Now it's been many years since I've done this, but I didn't take the questions to see how many I'd get right, I found the wrong ones and read why I chose was wrong, pulled out my book and re-read the section so I'd understand it, not simply answer it right. So for each question, had the book in my lap... highlighted it in a different color and flagged the page, re-read it again to make sure, because there are so many things you get wrong in different areas.

Don't focus on the right ones, find out where your missing your core concepts and fix it;) Good luck, you'll do it!!!!!

yeah check out suzanne's plan at the top of this nlcex forum. im using it right now, and il test my 2nd nclex exam this october..her plan makes you focus and personally it gives me peace of mind knowing that i have a goal (and you'll be able to find out what would be your goal in her plan) so yeah, basically her plan helps you focus on everything that you should need to know.

I took my first nclex-rn in july and didn't pass with 265 questions. The results said that I was near passing for all the areas. I actually took the nclex again this past wed and found out today i did not pass....=(

I feel like such a failure, and that all my hard work in nursing school was a waste. I've been through A LOT to take this test again, and now that I failed i feel like.. a loser and not looking forward to apply to take the test again.

I used Kaplan, did all their question trainers, qbank and everything. I thought that the nclex answer choices were really ambiguous compared to kaplan's test questions, therefore couldn't use their decision tree. The second time around, my friend gave me her Saunder's CD, and i thought it really helped. I got passing rates on all the practice tests I've done. but I guess my test taking strategies still aren't up to par. I'm not sure what to do next, I guess i have to wait 45 days again? or is it 90 the second time around?

Any suggestions??? I know people are saying the Suzanne's plan is good. Does it really work? I'm willing to try anything. I need to pass b/c my job is on the line. Thank You.

Sorry to hear that you didn't pass the second time. I didn't pass my first test either, and I will be testing in a month for my second one. Honestly, I thought I did well with 265 questions the first time. I had mostly near passing, a couple of above passing and one below passing. I took Kaplan but I didn't find it helpful when answering the questions, I couldn't use the decision tree in most of the questions. I've read several good remarks about Suzanne's plan. That is what I am using right now to prepare for my second try. This site has been helpful in boosting my confidence.....Don't give up. Like one member wrote, it is not a failure.

I just took mine today and also got all 265. Took me about 3.5 hours. I, as most, feel as if i failed but I guess I will find out soon enough.
