Can you retake the semester? We have a couple of repeats in our class; I don't think there's any shame in that. I think the shame would be in NOT redoing the semester, finding out in advance of doing this what the areas were that were a challenge for you, and then moving on. You owe it to yourself to do whatever it takes if this is what you truly want to do!

Can u take the class again? If so, than just retake the class. This type of stuff happens. I am one to talk because I failed in my first nursing program because I got a 79 in one class (80 and above requirement). I than transferred to another school and was doing really well until the semester I was supposed to graduate. I struggled with my last med surg because it was an accelerated course. I got a c- in the class. Now I have to retake that class before I can graduate. Don't beat urself up. I was told by all of my professors that students who usually retake classes are very successful with their boards. Keep ur head up.

Well I failed because I didn't study. Not because I didn't want to, but I had surgery the week before and just wasn't with it. My theory instructor told me to wait until I was ready, but my clinical instructor was on my a-- to geet it over with because I was still behind on a check off. blah I just buckled. I should have ignored him, but you know how certain nursing instructors make you like an idiot..I am trying to appeal but I don't really understand what that is going to do for me. I'm not giving up I tried too hard and too long just to get in a program! Has anyone been through anything like this. I am soooo sad.

First, I am sorry. I can only imagine how you must feel. Just remember, it was circumstances that caused it. You are not the first person it has happened to and you wont be the last. Dont even let an instructor make you feel stupid. Pick yourself back up and do whatever it takes to get yourself back in.
