I passed nclex-pn earlier this year & this is what I did:
1. I did at least 100-120 questions for almost 2 months using the Saunders cd & I read every rationale afterwards whether I got the question right or wrong (by the end, about 3000+ questions were completed before I took my exam).
2. For every question I did miss, I read up on the subject to get a better understanding of why I missed the question.
3. I made flashcards on lab values that I would go over every night.
4. I also made posters of diagnostic testing procedures (such as what to do with the patient before & after the test) & made sure to look at those every night before I went to bed.
5. I looked at & memorized the infection control mnemonics that you can find on right on this very site. https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/infection-control-mnemonics-299890.html
6. ….& I also prayed everyday while studying & right before my test (in front of the computer) that I would pass.
This is how I studied. Basically, people pass & study with what works best for them. Keep studying hard, don’t ever give up, pray, & you’ll both pass soon!
good luck!
