Failed NCLEX twice, looking for.......

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello. I graduated from LPN school in December 2011. By the end of school I was so sick and worn down I did nothing but sleep and rest after graduatiion. I didn't work for 8 months after. I took the NCLEX in May of 2012 and failed. Then again in August of 2012 and failed again. :( Well my spirit has been broken for a while, but during this time I did just go ahead and register as a CNA II with the NC BON. I am working as a CNA I for now. Any advice to boost my confidence before I register to take this test again? Also can I work at as a PCT or Nurse Tech until such time comes? Thank you for reading this........

Hi! I'm sorry about your exam. First, you don't have to be licensed to work as a PCT or nurse tech. You just have to find those positions and apply. As faras your exam goes, since it's been two years post graduation. Have you considered a refresher course? I personally like and used Kaplan for the NCLEX-RN. I don't know if they have a version for the NCLEX-PN. Surely, they would. Whatever you use to study, just make sure that it is the most current edition. Good luck to you on your retake and try to focus on the reasons why you select each one of your answers, thereby making the BEST selection.

How did you like Kaplan? I'm currently using it and scoring in the high 50's low 60's. wondering if it helped you prepare to the Nclex.
