Failed the NCLEX 5 times. Please Help!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I have taken the NCLEX 5 times now and will pass it this time. I am taking the Hurst Review in the middle of October with the plan of taking the actual NCLEX-RN in the beginning of December. I have previously taken the KAPLAN course and found it to not be very helpful, for me that is anyways. I finally began to overcome my severe test anxiety, which I had accommodations for during college, after taking the NCLEX for the 3rd time. This last time I took it, almost a year ago, I was so close to passing. Currently I am at a loss of what to do and how to set up an appropriate study program for myself. PLEASE HELP!!! If you have any thoughts, tips or recommendations please, please, please feel free to contact me.

Please & Thank You

How am I not being realistic ?? Are there rules saying there's a max of times you can take the nclex ?? No there are not, so that's me being realistic. Honest, I am stating my honest opinion. Just because we don't agree doesn't mean I'm not. I am not on a "high horse" or think I am better than anyone. The NCLEX RN (which is the test this OP is posting about) is not the same as the NCLEX PN. How did I know you would go there, predictable. Again, please dont play the victim here. Don't make me out to be this monster. I have an opinion and we don't agree.

Go where? You attacked me personally, when I never attacked anyone on any level. So have your opinion but leave the personal & professional jabs out of it.

Maybe it's time we (licensed nurses) take a stand & use our voice to say there SHOULD be a limit on the number of attempts on the NCLEX. Because nursing has gone down the toilet.

What does it matter if it's the PN or RN NCLEX?? I have said the same thing to people taking the PN or RN NCLEX. I don't know why you think it matters (or do you just think you're awesome because you're an RN?). If someone can't pass the NCLEX (PN or RN) after 3 attempts, there is obviously a knowledge deficit going on.

How did that person manage to pass their pre-reqs (if they had any) & their nursing program but can't pass the NCLEX? That's scary to me!

Enough is enough. Closing thread for time out as we seem to have deviated from the original post
